Speak for yourself. There's nothing wrong with one last hurrah from a screen legend and an iconic character that rewrote the action-adventure genre. What I find funny is this sort of generic nerd hot take, but then all the generic nerds go see the film anyway. I still remember all the geeks who slammed the Tumbler Batmobile before Batman Begins, and then the Heath Ledger casting before Dark Knight, and Ben Affleck and now Pattinson and on and on. I wouldn't mind so much except for the sweeping generalizations, nerdy hyperbole about "raping childhoods" and other such shit. It's all just so negatively angry and weird, and they all say the same hackneyed shit. It's made me despise nerd culture.

Yeah but that's what Crystal Skull felt like it was supposed to be. I liked Crystal Skull.
