Ok, I know someone else has had to have had complained about this by now but I'm sorry, I just got my CGs, and I have to have my little rant.
Why, WHy, WHY,! does such a COOL looking figure have to come with such a STUPID sidearm that has NOTHING to do with the figure?!? http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mo...ze=800&start=0 I mean come ON! I Colt style single action army style revolver? Oi! I can see if this or Peacemaker style revolver came with Wild Bill, that would make sense, but a CG? Why would he come with a revolver, much less an old cowboy style one such as this? I can see something cool like a HK USP, a Glock, or some other modern cool looking semi-auto pistol, but a revolver? Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with a revolver, as a matter of fact a Hooded CC with a big Python style Colt would look pretty cool! But not the CG........ Oh well, thank goodness for Marauder Gun-Runners, that's one easy way to fix this problem. Too bad they won't fit in their thigh holsters though........ Oh well..............:( Eric |

I don't mind the Cowboy gun. I just wish it sat better in their holsters.

Although I don't own one yet, from what I've seen, I agree..the choice of sidearm is suspect to say the least. But as mentioned, there's always a bright side to things like this, thanks to MJ ;)

I'm pretty sure its suppose to be more of a ceremonial sidearm and part of their uniform. Much like the Marines Formal Uniform and their Mameluke Sword.
Guardsmen just don't have as many change of clothes. |

Yup, as I said in the first thread, seems more for ceremonial reasons.
And I actually don't mind at all. At least not as much as most people seem to. It really makes them stand out when compared to the other troopers, you just know they're special. |

I'm not a fan of the holster, that's my only gripe. Well almost, the exposed injection marks on the boots are a little lame...

The only problem I've ever had with CG's is that they're far cooler than Hasbro wants them to be. Here you have these ultra-cool elite Cobra Troops and Hasbro wants them to be accountants. They've always been hardcore fighters in my playtime. I can honestly say that I've never put them behind a desk with a calculator in their hands.

Course the comics suggested that at least Fred [enter appropriate Roman Numeral] was a Mech Engineer. I'd like to think that the Guardsmen got all different kinds of education, business, medicine, law, science... just so long as they had some kind of education.
