If you could only chose one of the two answers from the poll, which would it be? To avoid confusion on the 2nd option, I mean, the older Modern Era (25th) vs. the Modern era (PoC/Vault/the articulated Retaliation figures). Should Hasbro start over all of the characters and move on from the ARAH homages and give the characters an updated and current look?
Personally, as much as I am an A.R.A.H. fan, I love the new Stalker/Snake Eyes/Beachhead body that Hasbro designed as well as the Sgt. Mouse, Ultimate Duke, Ultimate Flint & Ultimate Roadblock body. I cannot wait for the Ultimate Duke, Ultimate Road Block & Ultimate Flint figures to get here. I am planning on buying a lot of them and just head-swapping them with the 25th A.R.A.H. Joe characters that we all love. They will look great in the new Eaglehawk in my opinion. Perhaps it is the time of the changing-of-the-guard from A.R.A.H. to the new stuff. I know that I am sold and never thought I would be on the non-A.R.A.H. stuff even though I am a completed and get all of the Modern Era (25-current) characters.

Isnt this kinda the same question? It seems like both answers are the same, they are asking for missing arah figs in the 25th style, which is really considered to be the modern style, or you are asking if we want a remake in the modern style. Arent these both the same thing?
I am really not being a dick btw, i just dont understand what you are asking, it seems like both options are really the same thing cause 25th style really is part of the "modern" style. |

I like the modern stuff. It is time for a change in the proverbial guard. The sculpting and detail with the figures is on a different level. I could though do without some of the gimmicky stuff, like ziplines. Hasbro should stick to usable accessories.

I'd be willing to sacrifice some modern stuff if GI Joe could be kid friendly again.
give us some neat colors, and play features children will enjoy.

I started buying my kids 25th anniversary joes when they came out. The oldest was 9 and the younger was 4 at the time and they both loved it and still do. They would watch ARAH on the HUB when it would come on after Renegades. They didn't like Renegades because they thought it was boring.
Till this day they still like ARAH. We watch it on Netflix. The majority of the Joes they have are 25th anniversary with some 30th and POC style but they like ARAH like I do. |

I love all the improvements in articulation, sculpting, paint apps, etc (Retaliation aside), but am very much in favor of them creating new non-ARAH based ideas. I think over the last few years just from an objective viewpoint, a few of the figures that seemed to have caused a lot of hype early on were Volcano/Hazard Viper, Data Viper, Shadow Tracker, and Zombie Viper. I would say a large part of the reason for this is because they are brand new concepts.
Now this isn't to say there is no place for ARAH updates, and if they are either a really new take on a character like money bags Destro, or just incredibly awesome like 30th SS or Ret 3 pack Fire Fly. I can certainly still see the appeal. But since the question posed was if you HAD to choose only one option, then I'm definitely going for new stuff all the way. Most of the characters getting remade have over 10 versions already, or in some cases as much as 70 versions. I'd way rather see some new blood and out of the box thinking on the part of Hasbro, I doubt it would do anything to attract new fans without the help of a serious media push, but it would certainly be more fun to collect than Snake Eyes version 5000.

Old design, new sculpt. What's the problem? (either way they're going to be $10 a pop now... ouch)

I think Kreo is taking caring of the ARAH cravings some people are having, so might as well just do modern updates from here on out for the 3.75" stuff. Not to say those updates can't have a tinge of ARAH in their designs though. Oh, and I am only talking the figs... even you do vehicles then make them ARAH versions with updated tooling... like what they did with the Tomahawk.
