I'm starting this thread to help out any Tankers that have received damaged cards from the Club's FSS. Some Tankers have been reporting damaged cards and they would like to keep them MOC. While others have recieved undamaged cards but were opening theirs anyway and didn't really care about the condition of the cards. So maybe a trade could be made.
So if you have some damaged cards and would like to see if others have undamaged cards and are willing to do a trade post here. So, I have a Dice that I'm planning on opening and has a undamaged card. So anyone who has a Dice with a damaged card and were wanting to keep their's MOC, let me know. I must stress that my issue is not shipping or any other kind of damage; the Club shipped me a figure that had an error in manufacturing. I was planning on opening that Jinx, but the card has a defect in a place that would be unaffected by opening the figure, and I REALLY like having the old-style card. On the subject of cardbacks, has anyone else noticed the FSS cards to be thinner than on Footloose and MUCH thinner than Hasbro's "normal" Joe cards?

For those MOC folks - keep in mind that the opener folks that would be willing to trade are doing you a HUGE favor, so you should probably pay for shipping both ways. The openers aren't getting anything in return other than the satisfaction of helping out a fellow collector. You on the other hand are getting a minty, non-bent card.
Just some food for thought. |

My Dice came with a bent card. I reported it to the club. At the cost we paid and the attention supposedly given to packaging I was disappointed in QC. I did not ask for a replacement but assumed they would have. Jinx had abrasions on the card too. We are openers...

its a freaking joke that these guys cant deliver mint cards. id expect no less from them than any tanker id be dealing with. if you buy a mint on mint card item, it needs to arrive that way. they KNOW this is a condition sensitive hobby and some are really bothered by flaws in their items.
if you want to be fast and easy in shipping, if you're "too busy" to make sure the items are packed well, then offer them uncarded as well. otherwise, if you're only going to give the option to buy MOMC, then you need to make sure they arrive that way. it cant be that freaking hard considering i have NEVER had a complaint on any of the MOC items ive EVER shipped. i got no respect for these fools. they routinely show their customers they feel likewise.

This stuff is NOT shipping damage! The fancy-schmancy cardboard shipping boxes are quadruple layered and sent INSIDE another box with padding. This is an issue of quality checks BEFORE they are packed.

So is it a flaw in packaging design or is whoever in China that is packaging these is being haphazard and careless? I guess it all depends on the chain. If everything is packaged in China it is totally out of the club's control. If the figures are made in China, shipped here, and the club packages them here, that is another matter. IF that was the case they could look them over for QC and also treat them with kid gloves when putting them in those cardboard inserts. I am guessing and only guessing, that the damage is happening overseas in the rush to get these off the assembly line and on the boat. The new packaging may require some extra training for those workers for the next FSS batch.
