Now having said all that, you did a terrific job there, DarthBrett. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed. |

That Zartan is sweet! I'd buy that off the shelves! |

nice work DarthBrett! Is that a straight repaint on the lower torso or did you swap it out?

Lower torso seems a little lanky... but its still a great looking figure Darth. But now you gotta find you some cold sensitive paint.

Thanks all for the positive feedback. Recipe (really simple)
Head, chest, hands, legs - Zartan Arms, torso, crotch - Gung-Ho (since the new Ripper and Torch also use the same torso piece, you could use those, too. Torch also uses the same arms and crotch. So use Torch if he's easier to find.) I painted his gloves and boots all black and also painted his shoulder straps, elbow straps and outer knee pads black. I ended up painting his chest pad and knee pads with a shiny silver to make them seem more reflective in appearance. I had to mix 3 paint colors to repaint Gung-Ho's crotch piece to match Zartan's reddish brown pants and I also repainted the belt to be all black. His torso is a bit lanky (but it's the same torso that's used for Ripper and Torch, too, so I think it works). Also, after placing Gung-Ho's arms into his chest-piece, I noticed that his shoulders were quite loose. So before you glue him back together, just put some tissue or paper towel into the chest piece. This helps fill up the cavity enough to make the shoulder movement stiff again. The only thing I wish I could add is some sort of shoulder pieces to match the original's costume better. Don't get me wrong, I do like the new Zartan that Hasbro has given us. But I wanted to make a Zartan that resembled his original costume more closely.
