So, after looking at this poster:
I was thinking "HEY THAT COBRA HELICOPTER LOOKS LIKE THE RETALIATOR" Now for those of you who saw the trailers, you know the Cobra copter isn't all that big. It is definitely bigger than a FANG but not large like a gunship. Reminds me of a Scout helicopter, like a Kiowa or Little Bird. The Retaliator would probably be bigger in comparison. HOWEVER, the Cobra Copter looks like a Retaliator with new engines in the back. Hmm. Well, I could be down with that. I never had the Retaliator but some kid down the street had it back in the day and it was fun. It's one of the most obscure Joe helis because everyone usually just remembers the Tomahawk or Dragonfly. Or the NAC. The Retaliator came out in the 90's when the brand was definitely changing yet the Retaliator still evoked the militaristic details of the 80's ARAH vehicles, just more gimmicky, not in a bad way though. It was weird yet cool. Do you guys want to see the Retaliator back on shelves? |

I want it but I hope it's not a just a one-seater like the Renegades Cobra Black Dragon.
With the Blackhawks and Apaches available in TRU, Cobra needs ground support.

I don't think it would be. The old Retaliator mold was a 2 seater, it looked like it had ample space for 2 figures.

YOJOE.COM | Retaliator | YoJoe.com: Dedicated to the G.I.Joe of the 80's, 90's and beyond!
I m not really high on a retailiator rerelease. It looks too much like a helicopter-shaped toy designed around a gimmic rather than a vehicle designed with play features. Now, if it looked more like the thing in the poster as a two seater, I would be very interested...

Remember the ROC Dragonhawk? Remember how ridiculously tiny that thing was? That's what a new Retaliator would be like. So no, I'm not interested.
Most of the vehicles Hasbro makes are in scale with 1" figures like Heroclix. I have the new larger Slave-1 & the Mandalorian Transport. They're both pathetically small compared to the 3" figures. They fit 1" figures. |

I would buy a reissue of the Retaliator. If they remade it it would probably be like the new Night Raven and Dragonfly and be terribly undersized in which case I would not buy it.

If Hasbro still has the old tooling intact I can see them using that instead of making a smaller mold. I figure it could be intact, I mean it is a 90's mold after all.

Never cared for the original design. I'd rather see one of the JvC/spy troops helicopters comeback. I forget what they were called for the joes, but the cobra version was the crimson command copter. That's a sweet ride.
