Should the blame go on Hasbro for not getting enough product out to Target or on Target for not ordering more product? That peg space is valuable during the holiday season. Target would not be at fault if Hasbro was not getting the product out for the stores to sell them. They want to sell stuff they have after all. About ten Targets by me have kept at least one or two spaces for Joes and have even had a few figures on them. Three or four few took away space for Joes, though. Better than the local Walmarts. Of the seven I have visited, only one has had space devoted to Joes. I figured Target would bring them back after Christmas. Doesn't mean they will have them stocked on the 30th, but at least the space will be back around that date.

Hasbro will not make toys until a retailer orders them, so the retailers deserve the blame. Remember, they are the ones who didn't think Transformers movie figures would sell well, and also forced the idea of 2 packs when gijoes returned in 2002.

Planogram does sound pretty gay. I had to laugh when I checked out my local target after never having any luck and knowing it wasn't about to change, I found low and behold...eight hooded cobra commanders and nothing else! My god, I am sick of seeing these. Then snake eyes were actually gone this time though.

The Target exclusive vehicles will be on the endcaps in the checkout lanes like the Star Wars Order 66 2pks started out.
This info was provided by Hasbro during the Q&A(Round 5). Can't remember which site asked about it though. |
