Sometimes, little variations here and there (like the Cobra Trooper's rifle not being painted, or CC's leg buckles) don't actually effect the value of the figure. Most people accept that there will be small changes or differences in the figures from time to time without them actually be a true "variant".
On the other hand, I'm sure there are those collectors out there who need to own all the different "variations" no matter how large or small. I think this one is more of a personal choice rather than being a true variant. At least, that's my opinion. Only time will tell! |

I can see this being a true 'variant' as Hasbro said in their Q&A that the Shiprwreck tat was to be a variant, this follows the along the same vein I would think. |

I'm not sure this is a variant. I bought 2 the other day, one is more frosted, one was less frosted. I think its just a difference in the quality of the clear plastic.

I posted that over at Spawn.com (what's up, BBWD )...Not a huge difference imo, but I thought it was a noticeable one (note: the second is more clear in person...these were taken with a 3.2 mgpxl, so the quality isn't the greatest).
