This is one of the Crimson Guards from the TRU exclusive 5 packs. Someone went out of their way to design a new symbol for this Crimson Guard:
I have no way to prove it came this way from the factory... But It's an interesting find, that I thought I'd share. Does anyone else have any strange paint jobs on their figures? To me these are kind of like finding a four leaf clover. Last edited by sweeper; 12-09-2008 at 07:43 PM.. |

Is the original symbol a diamond inside another diamond? If it is, I think the just stamped the paint mask on it off centered.

That could be it, but there's no paint over-run. It doesn't have a misprinted look to it. The angle on the diamond is the same. Unless I knew exactly how they applied the symbols, then I don't know. It's just kind of neat how it looks perfect with no outside of the lines paint.

The angles of the two diamonds are the same so if it is shifted over exactly to the side without any vertical movement, then it will have this overlap.

Yeah, that's one of the TRU 5-pack CGs...I've never seen any in the store without multiple paint errors, hence I don't have one...usually the visor paint is too high or too low. So I'm not surprised. At least yours doesn't make the figure look like shite.

Or any kind of movement, horizontal would easily have caused over-run. It seems too well placed to me, for it to be a simple mistake. Most of my CG's from the TRU 5pk have nice looking paint. But I had to pick through the crappy ones in the store to find them. This was when they were plentiful.
