I'm looking for an Ultimate Cobra Commander, out of all the ROC, POC etc what are people's opinions?
We've had Ultimates of Snake Eyes (POC), Storm Shadow (Ren) and Destro (Res) with some other ultimate versions of main characters on the horizon through Retaliation but what about old Chrome Dome? |

I don't think there's really been a good "Ultimate" Cobra Commander done. It's kind of hard as he's really just wearing a double breasted suit and a mask....
However, for my display, my default commander is the single card release Resolute Cobra Commander.

The Resolute one is hands down the best CC ever!! His design is similar to how he first appeared in the comics while adding a small cape to it. Plus, his head is normal size and does not look like a peanut like the others have had. And most of all, he actually comes with a German Mouser, which is all kinds of awesome. The only downside to his figure is his limited leg articulation, but this is CC, he is not an acrobat. It would have been cool to display him sitting in a chair though, but I'll take the look over that any day.

The ultimate RAH Cobra Commander would definitely be the chromed faceplate version from the DVD pack.
That is until Hasbro figures out a way to get that Zombie CC body out. |

Agreed, the Best of the 80s DVD pack CC with the Chrome faceplate and larger helmet is the best of that version, and the Wave 1 single carded Hooded CC is the best hooded one (since it's a perfect modern version of the vintage Hooded CC).
The 30th CC is a really nice figure too, yet I still don't own, unfortunately (never showed up in my area). He's a good "new" version of the Commander, looks more battle-ready. |

Give him the Best of the 80s DVD pack head with Chrome faceplate and I'll have my Ultimate Cobra Commander. I'll be very surprise if we don't see this figure released. Hasbro just loves them core characters.

If you are looking for a CC to use right out of the package, no customizing... I agree with the Resolute CC. For a classic look, the DVD version is best (but sooooooo expensive).

Thanks for the input guys, I think I agree that Resolute CC is the ultimate-ish for the time being. Has anyone got a link to the DVD version I'm not up to speed on a lot of 25th etal.?
