Since they really are bad-asses, how many would you intend on buying modern era style?
Would they be as popular as B.A.T.s |

I don't think they'd be as popular as B.A.T.s but they'd be an instant hit with me.

Two to four is usually my default number for any troops with the exception of Cobra Troopers which I have many more of and hope to continue building.
Two to four troops with one officer... This way I at least have a small deployment for warring with my Joes.

The Range Viper, Alley Viper, and S.A.W. Viper were my 3 main baddies in the later Cobra ranks... I'd love to see all 3 made into 25th style.

I'd buy 1 for sure! I only buy 1 of every figure, though (no troop building for me).

I would buy 3-5, btw.
Also, as far as popularity, I don't see any other figure being as popular as the B.A.T. Despite it's vibrant colors and unrealistic-nature (being a robot trooper in 2008, or 1986, whatever year your Joes live in), the 25th B.A.T. cannot stay on the shelves. The only figure I see possibly dethroning the B.A.T. would be the Alley Viper, when that comes out. Of course, the Eel hasn't had much shelf time yet, so it's hard to say, but not even the Snow Serpent could hold up to the B.A.T., and it's almost an all-new sculpt. The Eel is mostly Torpedo under all the gear, and he's showing a lot of popularity right now, although I have yet to hold one (despite having paid for 2 already through HTS over a month ago, heh.) If done right, the Range Viper COULD sell really well. He'd need all-new sculpted parts though, not a lot of rehashed parts. |
