Man those Stingers are great. I thought I was going to be a classic vehicle junkie, but I've been checking out the PTE stuff and they dwarf the Hasbro vehicles. Great job guys. Are those from the Corps? So many great ideas, I don't know which to steal!

Exactly! If only it could happen. Imagine Hasbro allowing BBI or one of the smaller companies that make inexpensive and accurate vehicles to purchase the license for the purpose of producing G.I. Joe vehicles. Unfortunately the cost would be prohibitive. But, it would be jaw dropping to see the realism and detail of a BBI VAMP, FANG or even something such as the Ferret. Although sometimes it's just as simple to re-paint what they already do make... I want to see some of the more realistic but still conceptual vehicles done in ultra-realistic style.

i agree with u 100% that is why i didn't buy the ultimate battle pack i came up on a bunch of vehicles at target last year after christmas for dirt cheap, and i'm still satisfied a year later.

I just got into shopping for "Brand X" vehicles for my joes a while back and the more I buy them the more I think Hasbro needs to release some new vehicle molds.
Ok, i know, i know, Hasbro just ain't doin' it. Not cost effective, or whatever. BUT, how many of you out there use PTE, True Heroes, Etc vehicles in place of Hasbro stuff? For those of you who only shop the "name brand" stuff (Hasbro)you need to know that besides all the great extras you get with the cheaper, no-name brands, the scale ratio is MUCH MUCH better outside of hasbro vehicles. I'm posting these pics so you can see I'm not lying. here are some pics of my M1 Abrams from Bravo Team (Target) vs the MOBAT. The Abrams' scale is much more accurate and it looks like steeler is sitting in an actual TANK. Next up is the Rattler vs. the A10 Warthog from True Heroes (TRU). I'm customizing the Warthog to be CC's personal Rattler; it needs some stickers and touch ups but that's beside the point. It's a much better size match, and at only 5 bucks more than a rattler! PLEASE POST YOUR OWN PICTURES to prove/disprove my point! (by the way, this thread was inspired by my disappointment in the UBP MOBAT. Never had one or even saw one as a kid, and that's probably why I was so let down.) |

in other news, PS3 games have better graphics than NES games.
what do you expect, a toy made today should be better than one made 25 years ago(which these Joe vehicles either are or are meant to replicate to create nostalgia within the Joe community). |

the quality of plastic on Hasbro vehicles are far inferior compared to the plastic cup of Slurpee.
