Now that the $4.99 sale at Target is about to end? Has anyone bought up a reserve of extra Joes in anticipation of the price hike back to $6.89 or even worse to $9.99.
NOTE: If you don't know by now, Target's inventory considers all Joes the same so they do not differentiate whether you originally bought a BAT and then return a Wild Bill. I plan to buy 6+ extra Joes to return in the future in the event they increase prices. Worse case scenario is that I just get my money back a few months later. |

That is too much trouble for me. Good idea but not for me. Since Target most of the time has a low stock on Joes. I usually find a Joe or two a month there.

Gee that will make them get more stock in. Let's see... return peg warmers when the price goes back up to $6.99 or whatever and let them set there for another 4-5 months. Then Target will think that the new waves won't/don't sell (since you said they don't differentiate) and order even less and less of the new cases.

I've been thinking about doing this, buying cheap at Target and then later taking them back to wal- mart. It feels wrong though.

But, when you make a return when something was on sale, they will only refund what you paid for it according to the receipt. Unless you plan to return these without a receipt.. then they rarely offer you money back, but instead a gift card or exchange. Even then you are limited to the number of returns without a receipt you can have. It is usually in their database.. so unless you do the swap at several Target stores in one day.. you may have to wait awhile before they let you return something else.

- I go to Target today and see pegwarmers at $4.99. - 2 days later Target jacks up the prices to $9.99 and decide to release wave 10/11/12. What should I have done to get around their "plan" to clean out their inventory? Is it my fault that Target decides to scan all their Joes as one item? |

Let me pose this scenario....

What should I have done to get around their "plan" to clean out their inventory? Is it my fault that Target decides to scan all their Joes as one item? I get it, but I just don't think it's a cool move at all. Incidentally, you will only get TWO non-receipt refunds per 12 months. If you do return it without a receipt, you will get the current shelf price. So if you're going to run this scam, make it count. |

You will more than likely get the lowest price in the last 30 days if you have no receipt...

I've thought about doing this, but like others mentioned it just screws up when it comes to ordering more stuff 'cause most likely you're returning figures no one else wants or will buy. I did actually do a "return" at Kay-Bee recently. Screw their $8.99 figures and I got rid of figures I bought out of impulse.
At least with the Target sale, today after church I scored: 4 EELs, Para-Viper, Cobra Flint, Matt Trakker, Airborne, Bazooka Trooper, and Zartan. Granted I've had Wave 10-12 for weeks (thanks BBTS) now I just hunt army builders and MOC.
