Does anyone else miss/prefer the entirely cardboard packaging for vehicles from back in the day with the full art on the front? I do...I really would rather put the vehicle together and apply the decals on BOTH sides...sometimes they come crooked now. It was more exciting wasn't it? It was like awesome gift wrap on a Christmas present and you hoped it looked just as cool when you opened it up...I'm not diggin' all the plastic and tied down figs/vehicles...

I don't really care either way. I'm just happy that we're getting them and some drivers.

I agree... I would think that it would also bring the cost down by a few dollars on each. (labor cost alone...) Give me a box full 'o' parts and let me do it myself. (the boxes would also be smaller most likely)

there was something about those boxes...especially the big ones.
smaller vehicles had that flimsy cardboard, but then something like the WHALE had that serious cardboard. You KNEW you were getting something cool. I'm the same way though, putting together the vehicles was half the fun. it was like, you put all the time and effort into putting it together, thereby earning the right to play with it. Having'em put together for you just feels like cheating.

I still get excited when I see pics of the old boxes. I'll know what the item looks like when I assemble it. I don't need to see it in clear plastic boxes. Besides, the box art is just that...art.

Whichever's cheaper. Hell, put it loose/unassembled in a plain cardboard box if it makes them cheaper. Then flood your site with all the old art, in-depth bios with message boards attached, videos, gallerys, etc.. I'm a poor, cheap bastard.
