just received this email titled "Oktober Guard question for membership-answer quickly" and was wondering with the recent hack of the collector club if it is legit or not:
Hello all! Just as a CHECK and we are NOT saying we are going to do this..... We are curious as to how many of you did not get the Oktober Guard set and would still like to order one (boxed only)? We don't know if there is enough demand left to meet the MOQ (minimum order quantity) with the manufacturer. In addition, we have NOT cleared any potential additional manufacturing quantities with Hasbro. So that we have an idea and can better serve you with future sets, if you would be interested in a set (IF it were possible to make more and it was approved), please fill out the attached spreadsheet with ALL of the information requested by Monday, July 2nd and return it to this email's return address ([email protected]). We will only analyze spreadsheets that are returned and will not count/look at information in the email as this is a huge task. We will analyze the data and see how much demand is still pending and we will let you know soon after July second if there is enough demand to warrant a second run. There should be no variation in the two runs. I don't want anyone to get false hopes but we don't know what the potential demand is unless we ask. So, at this point assume that we will not be making any additional sets. Thanks for helping us gauge your desires! Brian also came with an attachment but not sure if i want to open or not. |

Not. I recommend you reply. Seems the Club is listening and may make another run of boxed sets if demand is there.

YEah, got the e-mail but didn't open the attachment for fear of further problems... Need a few more reassurances of it's "legit-ness" before opening it.

I get my magazine and got my Footloose but don't get emails nor can I log in to my account on the CC page. I want a set but never got the email for the non-attendee set and I guess it sold out in minutes. Right now I think I just want a few figures and I hope they go for the costs I got the few I wanted last year. I see one pre-order for a Voltar on eBay for $120!!

I was dying for an OG set because I consider Voltar a key character. I had the $400 saved up. Then the club says that it's already sold out before I had a chance to buy it. So I bought Voltar for like $70 because I wanted to get him before the price got jacked even higher. So now the club comes and says they might consider a second run. It really sucks but my money is long spent. Next year have enough in the initial run to sell out and then some. If the set is nice, it will eventually sell out and a good profit will be made without resorting to a possible and costly second run. Just my two cents....

Anyone called or e-mail the club about it yet? Might do that.
