I just bought a used Cobra Moray Hydrofoil for about $20. It is in good condition aside from a few missing parts:
-The Missile Box Hatch & three missiles -3 depth charges -2 back machine guns -of course the lens to the search light All in all a good deal, but it needs to be cleaned and the stickers have a sticky residue to them. I already have a set of replacement stickers from Cobastickers.com (originally intended for the True Heroes Boat custom I was going to make prior to this purchase). Does anybody have any suggestions for cleaning this? Thanks

dove soap and a toothbrush under warm water to start.
then soak with a baby oil rag. let sit and wipe off with a rubbing alcohol rag. if the sticker residue is really dry and caked on, Googone works great.

OK! so what I do is soak the toy in dish soap water for a nice long time like 15 to 20 min submerged. then a soft tooth brush to get all the stuff off. rinse and scrub again.
now for stickers you can do this but be SUPER careful!!! take a q tip and dip it in alcohol mixed w water. then clean the edges of the stickers only the EDGE!!! if you get on the sticker it will wipe off the sticker this works for clean all the nasty stuff that stickes to the glue edged

Pop into an auto store and buy some "brake cleaner" aerosol. It's NOT brake fluid, but is a chemical cleaner that removes oily residue and melts the sticky stuff left after you peel off stickers.
I use it all the time. It doesn't ruin the surface of the toy, just gets rid of residue. |
