Seeing all the reports lately of the stuff rolling in, (W10,11,12, CPw6, Tgt Battle Pack, etc.,etc.) my toy fund is taking a serious hit.
When I first started the 25A line, I was determined to get one of everything produced. I also decided to 'mildly' army-build, limiting myself to a max of 6 for certain characters. So, other than complete repaints (see:SRO Cobra Pack #1) or odd-exclusives, I've spent a lot of $$$ on Joes. Is anybody else feeling overwhelmed with the amount of stuff we're seeing? What things have you passed on that you'd like, but $$$ is short? |

I certainly am! I was like you where I was intent on owning every figure and every wave and every pack and every vehicle! Now I have decided to own just the figures that came out in the original RAH series. So in the last Wave 11 and Wave 12, i only got half of the figures. Yeah, I honestly can not wait until this line is over! just needed blowtorch, dr. mindbender, zap, and maybe 1 or 2 more and I am done! sad to say but i noticed that I am spending between $100-$200 a month on toys! not in the family budget! but I am at least satisfied with what I got!

Luckily, with the last few waves I've been able to be more selective in what I buy. I started as a 'buy two of everything' collector, then a 'buy one of each', and now the combination of increased prices and lackluster designs I'm down to 2-3 figures per wave.
About the only things I want to buy but haven't is the DVD packs. |

I said 'no'... if I could actually find anything I'd probably change my mind.

I'm selective of what I buy. For example:
Wave 9: Hawk, BATs Wave 10: Para-Vipers Wave 11: Trakker, Scarlett, Zartan, maybe Airborne Wave 12: none Comic-Packs: Beachhead/Dataframe DVD Packs: buy figures individually Vehicles: AWE, sold Leatherneck If I picked anything else up, it's for trading purposes. |

I was the same, I had originally wanted one of everything, now due to increased prices, I am more selective, with very limited army building (e.g., BATS, para-vipers, eels). But I do occasionally buy 2 of a single carded figure, one to open, one to keep MOC.

To be honest, Im glad to see Joe product en masse, the CW are choking up the aisles to me at times. If Hasbro could keep the figures at 5$ a pop and keep a decent vehicle line at 15$ and occassionally going to 25-30$, which it looks like they are (at least for the vehicles) Im happy about that. From what we have gotten so far, Ive enjoyed collecting more of the obscure characters, I dont think Hasbro thought the 25th anniv line would go more than wave 5 or 6, yet here we are. Is it too much? No, I dont think so, esp since STAR WARS CW is clogging up more than double the shelf space. I just introduced my nephew to GI JOE and he is loving it. I would rather see a reduction in number of figures per wave, like maybe 4 or 5 so that it would have better pack outs.
