I think the perfect stopgap Joe line that would sell great and which Hasbro ought to be able to whip up in time for Christmas would be Hall of Heroes II. Except this time they would repackage figures who only came on POC/30th cards or in boxed sets on 25th/vintage style cards. This is great for the carded collector who wants those figures on the classic-style cards and great for the people who now have to pay a lot on eBay for many recent, hard-to-find figures.
Anyone agree with this sentiment and have suggestions for the lineup? Here are some Hall of Heroes II possibilities: LowLight Sci-Fi Recondo Alpine Quick Kick Dusty Alley Viper Range Viper Zombie Viper Night Creeper Baroness (black) |

Yay! For Mint on Card collectors.
Yawn! For everyone else. Although, a collection of wanted and hard to find recent releases could be a more likely and more acceptable option to Hasbro.

Problem is there's no way Hasbro can do new tooling for a 2012 release now. I think anything for this year would have to be a straight-up rerelease. However, they could possibly dust off some cancelled/unreleased figures. I can't recall what were the most desirable of those. I remember Mech Alpine and Night Force Falcon...

The other question would be distribution. I know the first line was internet exclusive at first, but later hit TRU Express stores and T.J. Maxx/Marshall's. This one could give all retailers some "refreshed" stock to carry. But I could see it being a combo internet/TRU exclusive as well.
