I generally don't complain about quality control issues as I understand the HUGE ammount of figures being produced.. That being said, there are bound to be flaws and issues with some of them, a vast minority, but issues nonetheless.
Today my Swap Ski Zartan and Airborne arrive from BBTS. Great figures, except for Zartans right arm. It appears as though it's molded as such that it renders the elbow articulation useless. I know this because as I was checking all joints on my minty fresh from the package figure, his lower right arm BROKE OFF! Quite irritating. I had this same issue just last week when I got my new Marvel Select Thor. His right had broke off due to being "stuck" in the joint. BBTS was fantastic about it, sending me a new right hand for Thor instead of having to pack up the whole figure for replacement. Hopefully they'll do the same for Zartan. Just a run of bad luck on figures this past two weeks.

I only had something from the 25th line break once so far. Shipwreck from the comic packs hand snapped off, right out the package...

If it is too tight to move, put said joint in heated water to make the plastic expand. Then put it in the freeze to cool down the plastic. This should loosen the plastic enough to let it move around. I have had to do this to a few figures that had stubborned joints. It worked every time. If this does not work, and the joint appears to be glued or sealed up, use a sharp round toothpick and poke around the joint to break it loose. It will be extremely loose at this point, but the heating and cooling method brings it back to normal usually. |

Dude, tried this for close to an hour...pissing my wife off in the process as she was trying to make dinner. I boiled, cooled and even froze. The damn joint was just molded together. I tried a toothpick, an exacto, Ieven tried gripping the round part of the joint with pliers to move it so that the peg wouldn't suffer from the stress. Eventually the peg gave way and left me with a useless figure. I'm returning it and hopefully BBTS will have a replacement for me...or as stated above, a replacement part. BBTS is VERY cool for replacing the hand of my broken Thor so that I didn't have to go thru the hassle of repacking and shipping it all back to them. BBTS is tops in my book and have only cemented my loyalty to them for future purchases.

I've had some stuck joints that needed to be worked loose, but this blows. First it was my Regular Wraith figure that had his knee joint break when bending it's leg the first time, now this. As I said, I usually support Hasbro and the nay-sayers about quality control, but now I've been hot with two bunk figures. Kind of irritating.

Anyone find that some figures have loose joints right out the package? My Gung Ho has a loose knee joint and 2 out of the 5 Snow Serpents I bought have loose knee joints too.
