I have the worst story about how I lost my collection...
I had been collecting since '82 and literally had just about every single figure and about 75-80% of all the vehicles made up till about '87. They were all immaculate. I was a nut about keeping them in perfect condition-- even as a kid. If I lost a weapon, I'd hunt for it till I found it. In '94 I was about to move to California (where I am now) to pursue my art career (which I'm also doing now). So, I sold my entire collection to a "friend". I sold him the figures for 1.00 a piece and the vehicle for like 3-5.00 bucks a piece. (Of course, now I'd kill to have it all back.) But, that's not the bad part of the story. Basically, the guy owed me close to 1,000.00 for everything. So, I moved to Cali and the guy never paid me a red cent. Nothing. He just took it all and re-sold it and pocketed all the cash. Needless to say, my supposed "friend" turned out to be nothing but scum. But, for now, I'm REALLY enjoying the 25th line. |

Here's my story of loss. When I moved in 91, I was out of Joe for the most part but I still had my toys.I packed up all of my Joe stuff (here's a breif rundown
2 Demons 1 despoiler 2 Stellar Stilletos 2 Imps 2 Adders 2 Mobats 1 Cobra Wolf 1 Tiger rat (Rattler) 1 Tiger fly 1 Tigercat 1 Tiger paw 1 night raven 1 Phatom stealth jet 1 X-wing copter 1 Tomahawk 1 Warthog 1 triple-T 1 Mean dog 2 Maggots 1 persuader 1 tiger shark 1vamp 1 swamp fire copter 1 dreadnok cycle 1 dreadnok airskiff Serpentor's chariot Thundermachine 1 mamba 1 Sea ray 1 buzzboar 1 skystriker 1 cobra moray & around 100 figures All vehicles except 1 or 2 were complete.I would mow lawns to get my toy money, so all of these were bought by me (except the ones that I might have got as presents).Anyway, I packaged them all up & some how, they were set out on the road side as trash.....my whole colletion....gone..... When I started back into Joe in 2002, I had about 3 or 4 figures from my childhood. |

My story is very similar to yours as well. While in college my room at my parent’s house was turned in to the office and everything was thrown out, or so I was told. I was talking to my younger brother last week about all of our Joes and as he recalls they were not thrown away but stored in cardboard boxes in our shed outside! When I go home this Christmas and look it may turn out to be one of the best holidays ever! But who knows what condition they will be in after sustaining 10 years of summer heat in our un-insulated barn!!! Wish me luck
