I just want to be clear about the possibility of a new BBTS or internet type of 7 pack. I am not sure where the Drednoks/ Marauders pack fit in among what I have read about. From what I read about in other posts
1) the figures in all the internet exclusives (Extreme Conditions and Cobra Island) were originally planned in advance for store release so BBTS didnt get certain figures made. Am I correct? 2) Those other figures weren't going to be released in stores until the internet retailers came along. But where do the Drednoks packs fit in? Were they originally designed for stores or did BBTS solicit them? With all of this in mind, does that mean there is any reasonable chance of getting more 7 packs or should we rest out hopes on the Gijoe Collectors Clubs for a figure like say, Pathfinder or Cesspool? I hope I don't repeat questions that have been answered and I missed the answer, but the whole process of making the 7 packs has fascinated me ever since I started reading threads about unreleased figures like the NF Falcon. So please clarify this for me. Thank you! |

I can't answer your questions but I love the 7 packs and hope they continue on with them.

In most of the cases with the 7-packs, my understanding is that Hasbro conceives of the idea and then offers it up to retailers, usually not as a single-retailer exclusive, but as an "internet exclusive" for multiple e-tailers, but in the case of the Dreadnok/Marauders packs, only Big Bad Toy Store and I think Smalljoes and the Club sold them?
Basically, Entertainment Earth and the others COULD have sold them, if they'd been interested in ordering Hasbro's minimums. As it stands, BBTS ordered enough of them to make it worth Hasbro's while to produce. If they hadn't gotten enough interest, they likely wouldn't have seen the light of day anytime soon. I'm pretty positive it is NOT a case of Big Bad Toy Store saying, "Hey Hasbro, make us Slaughter's Marauders/Renegades and Dreadnok 7-packs!" |

I believe the other retailers ordered them from BBTS (at wholesale pricing).
I really hope we get more... I would really love Cobra-La. And I REALLY wish the Oktober Guard wasn't going ot be a club exclusive and cost 6+ times the money. And just to be clear, I couldn't care less about Tiger Force, Night Force, or any other lame repaint "teams" they might come up with. So please don't realease one of those next on the cheap and guage sales off it. |

Just to be clear, I do like Tiger Force, Night Force, and all the other repaint "teams." I would like to see more of them in 7 packs.

But do you think they would sell well enough to be a success?
I personally think they would sit a long time... Of course, the same may very well be true for Cobra-La, so I guess the only thing we can do is root for our favorites. |

Considering BBTS has 2000+ Dreadnok and 2500+ Slaughter's Marauder's packs sitting in their warehouse I don't think we'll see another BBTS exclusive Joe pack.

Tiger force figures from the foreign releases are still desirable for a lot of collectors, just not as poor choice kit bashes in modern era bodies.
Night force is more novelty than anything, but I did prefer most of the NF versions of the joes. Cobra la, DEF, Eco warriors are all welcome in my collection. I would even find a home for a BATassortment. How about seven drivers, se even pilots. And isn't it time we had a real fans' choice and not that hall of heroes thing? I would like to see an extreme environment set of joes for the arctic.

Wow! Since it is all about money even though some websites are owned by fans, I cannot see a store willing to sit on 2000+ sets of figures like BBTS is currently doing. Although some sort of army builder pack like BATS or Python Patrol would have people ordering multiples, it's unlikely we will see a set that people would only buy one of such as BF2000, TF, or NF based upon what I'm reading.
