You failed to include Wal-Mart, Target, Toys 'R' Us, etc.
It is their responsibility to always have whatever we want in stock at any given moment we feel like walking into the store, presented to us on a platinum platter as we are carried on a litter supported by eunuchs to purchase them for $2 each because that's what they cost in 1983. clearly it is a business model that works for fast food restaurants so it should work for retailers. |

You know what the Joes really need to keep them going? More Space-adventure related figures. Because that's what the kids like. Star Wars meets Aliens with a hint of Pee Wee's Big Adventure and/or Jersey Shore.

and you forgot to add that Target/Wal Mart/TRU need to have drive-thrus so I do not have to leave my car to get my toys. or they simply need to bring them out to me. whichever is more feasible.
clearly it is a business model that works for fast food restaurants so it should work for retailers. *I mean, how does that happen at a Subway of all places? You're telling them how to make it as they go. And still, they want to add lettuce... You're saying, "Hey man, no lettuce... I, I uh, said no lettuce." They look you in the eye and nod in understanding, even say, "Right... no lettuce" But their hands move as if driven by some will not their own. I get that it's mechanical to just reach for certain things that are popular fillers on a sandwich, but this was a meatball sub. Lettuce isn't even on the meatball sub sandwich picture. And that's why I had to rig their drink dispenser to just keep pouring. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 02-13-2012 at 12:18 AM.. |

Gentlemen, you've converted me. I have seen the light. I now officially hate Hasbro!
It's painfully obvious from the Toyfair pics that despite spending two years producing unique takes on previous ideas, new and interesting characters, as well as classic characters that we have been requesting with unprecedented levels of detail and articulation, Hasbro obviously doesn't care about us at all! It's also painfully obvious that the movie line really SUCKS, despite having a number of high-quality figures with high-levels of articulation and sculpt detail, the lack of articulation on four redundant figures I would have otherwise just tossed in a bin and few other people would have even cared about is a game-breaker for me and ruins all the good ones forever and makes the line 100% made of fail, especially the parts that are not! I also don't feel like waiting for the movie line to finish and Hasbro to go back to making the figures we would really like because frankly I think they should cater to our whims, no matter how unrealistic. I honestly don't think it is too much to ask for them to ignore potential new markets in order to hold onto the one that really counts, US! Never mind that we are a shrinking, stagnant market growing increasingly out of touch with the younger generation, I don't think we should have to compromise for the sake of selling toys to children. Seriously, f*ck the children. Let them play with their X-Stations and Playboxes. It should be OBVIOUS to Hasbro that they should be marketing childrens' toys to the adult men in their 30s, the real future! Also, while it is regrettable that the cost of oil as well as a luke-warm economy have driven up costs, we feel we are entitled to having these toys at as low a cost as possible to ourselves, even if you only break even to do it. Frankly, we deserve these toys and feel you should feel obligated to cater to us exclusively because GI Joe is about American values, which have nothing to do with making money. Thank you. PS: We would also like you to send each of us three of every SDCC exclusives directly to our homes. Honestly, we don't feel we should have to leave our basem... err.. homes and go to a convention and socialize with real people or pay an extra $10 to get a convention exclusive, and they too should be provided at cost! I don't think this is unreasonable to expect this from you even though we constantly hate and criticize everything you do. Despite the fact we are buying a product from you in a fair exchange of money for goods, we feel that you owe us for your years of listening to our wishes and providing for them when possible. Wait, was that sarcasm? |
