Over on JC there was a discussion about how the scout looked when attached to the tank. I was asked to post a pic of them connected to show that they can indeed sit level when hooked together. It still looks about as cool as a Winnebago pulling a station wagon, but it is doable.

I want one of those Scouts... I won't attach them though. Looks silly.

Just got my hands on a hiss scout yesterday, but it does't look like that when they're joined together. If the tank is sitting level then the scout floats on the rear and if the scout is level, the Tank leans back, suspending the front part or the treads.
How'd u get it to fit properly?

I didn't do anything special with them other than not latch the mechanism that holds the tank down. With it free to move slightly it allows them both to level out. |

I have had my HISS scout since August, and I almost immediately noticed that they could attach to one another. However, like many of you have already pointed out, it looks clunky and often tips the HISS backwards. I don't bother connecting them, because it reminds me of a motorhome pulling a sub-compact. I like the scout, but think it would have been even better with a cockpit cover. I really like the scout driver's colour scheme though.....super tactical.
