I would probably only get Snake-Eyes & Storm Shadow. I feel these 2 characters are the soul of the ARAH franchise.

It would depend on a lot of things, first of which being that it would need to be fully articulated and not just one of those toys that looks good in the package.
It would also depend on the characters, if they just did a bunch of the '82 figures then forget it. But if they did, say the 5 most popular characters (presumably SE, SS, CC, Duke, and maybe Destro) I might pick one up just for the novelty of it. I've seen the Star Wars figures at a comic shop before, and they are definitely cool for what they are. Just for the record though, if I were Hasbro there's a lot of other things I'd be focusing on with Joe before I'd do something like this.

Probably not. I'm more interested in finding actual existing product on the shelves.
I like Gentle Giant and I dig vintage SW so I really do want some of these I just don't understand why they fail to tell you that these were actually out back when. Kenner made a handful of characters in big blow molded plastic exactly like this back when. I remember when these came out and it was made to sound that they just came up with this new idea when actually the core group had been released awhile back. |

I didn't get them back then no interest in them now (and I had/have a ton of star wars) I would like to see some uniform packs that could be used, like a set of Airtights helmet gear and uniform in 1/6 scale. These however have no appeal to me.

I having a hard time to pay for hard to find figs at 20$ each, so paying 60$ for giant figs is out for sure.

I'll be honest - I have no idea whatsoever as to why people buy those oversized Star Wars figs. It's not like they're replicas of the old 14-inchers, they're just big versions of the 3.75s. They must sell though since they keep making more.
I would argue that since the current crop of detailed, articulated 12" Joes don't seem to sell well (nor have they for a decade or so now), a line of less-detailed, less-articulated 12.5" Joes that cost more would sell even more poorly. I don't buy the 12" (more power to those that do), but this would seem to be an exercise in futility. |
