I remember having Dusty as a kid. I always liked the extra fabric that hung from his helmet. Then when they updated dated him for the POC line, that just made me like him even more. I don't read two many threads on him and just wanted to show my appreciation for that bada** update of the character. It's almost like you get two figures for the price of one. I actually bought two and am displaying both versions. Personally I love the head with the cap and facemask better. The tan, dirt on arms and cape are all amazing touches. Even his guns look great. He in my opinion is the true unsung hero of the POC line. I'm going to go as far as to say I even like him better than jungle assault Duke. What are your thoughts on POC Dusty?

I think he's great, I'm all about trying to keep my 25th line as close to my 80's as possible. But this one is a keeper.

Feel the same way about having 25th being linked to ARAH designs in some way. Having said that, POC Dusty is one of the most underrated figs of the ME Joes IMO.

Yeah, the extra head is something I wish was incorporated more with GI Joe.

I agree, the new resolute Cobra Trooper is right in that mold! In fact he's obviously the same body mold for the most part! But the two heads make it so my boys can make a very cool set of troops!!

Totally agree, I got 2, the other one I made into a Spearhead looking figure. Nice helmet and goggles too and they added a Kriss for his gun. a 9+ for Dusty

Back to the OP, I agree about Dusty. I think he's great but I prefer to display him with the helmet and masked head since I think it looks cooler. I use him as a generic desert trooper and the 25th version as my default Dusty. Just brings back good memories of the ARAH toon.

He's easily one of my favorite modern day figures, I love the alternate heads, paint apps, & soft goods.
When all of POC gets moved from my main display of the 70-ish newest releases he will be one of the last to make the move. |

one got ripped apart for parts and gear, and one i think i still have one on card still debating if i want to make him a new character, that's why i never put him in my bin, i wasn't sure i wanted him in there.
a whole new name and character and different color scheme and duty, that figure could of been a nice new figure. the 25th dusty will always be my dusty, any reincarnatation after a character is just parts and gear or new character to me. but he was a pretty cool figure, though. |

I feel the same way. As much as I liked the ARAH version, I feel this version is superior. The modern touch couldn't have been done any better. They left the earth-tone muted colors as a homage and built around that. For what the POC line was going for they nailed it above and beyond. Now I hope a 30th ARAH version of Dusty is made but for now this version is my favorite and will do just fine.
