well golob they seem to think that sigma six is the modern staple to which gi joe should be based off since it is the only joe cartoon in recent years so they think thats what kids (whom hasbro mistakenly thinks will buy joes) will recognize sadly. If they truly listened to us, their consumers, the joe movie would not be as scragged up as it is and the movie toyline wouldn't need new molds for the figures cause...shocking concept, THEY ALREADY HAVE THOSE CHARACTERS OUT. :>

why would they do that, the modern era line is a smash hit because of hasbro's limited supplying of the figures, and the cost efficiency of having two characters of every wave be a repaint. they would be crazy to not continue the modern era line regardless of what the movie line does
1 year of poor sales wouldn't surprise me if Hasbro became disenchanted with the joe line and decided to pull out for a while. And yes, the modern era is a smash hit. The movie line, probably not, but we shall wait and see. Most collectors have not shown interest in it. So if the modern era is a smash hit, why doesn't Hasbro continue with it in conjuction with the movie line? Apparantely Hasbro has faith in their movie line enough that they will neglect the hot selling modern era line for half a year (ignoring the consumer/collectors wishes too) to focus their resources in the movie line. And that is crazy in itself. Do the math. If they have to do a repaint wave every 4 waves to keep the necessary funds for new tooling, then a year of poor sells with 6 possible good waves gone to the wind and the funding too, thats money thats gonna have to come out of their pockets to tooling to make new figures. Seriously though, I can't see Hasbro taking a full year of poor sales, then coming back with the modern era line with more repaints of Duke and Cobra Commander, saying they need to do this to get the funds to make new figures. People are already tired of the repaints. Sab Last edited by Saboteur; 09-13-2008 at 09:03 PM.. |

I gotta agree with eveyone on here so far, back screws rule and rubber bands suck!
I shouldnt have to schedule "maintenance" on my action figures. Now screws, that would be just incredible. And even though "DIEHARD" fans shunned the movie toys, the line was a huge smashing sucess with its target audience, KIDS! And im sure the movie toys for gi joe will be the same. |

I like the windows, this way you can see what you are buying. Plus I like the painted backgrounds.
Let us put the stickers on our selves but please don't make us assemble the vehicles. That is another great thing about the 25th over the old 80's stuff is that they come pre-assembled. There were certain Joe toys in the 80's that I had a lot of problems with the assembly. I could never get the Dragonfly helicopter’s landing gear to stay on. I also had a lot of trouble with the Moray Hydrofoil. So the pre-assembly helps avoid these problems. I would like to see more detail on the vehicles like wave 1 or better. |

I agree with the part about not putting the stands with the figures, whats up with that?
Also i really like the window boxes, but i am a MOC/MISB collector and they are a bit troublesome to keep in good shape. These are very minor insignificant problems though. Im just glad they are pumping stuff out now. Every where i go the pegs are full now. Wave 9 seems to be making a more persistent presence and they are finally coming out with bigger vehicles and completely selling them out. Hopefully that means we will see more! Yeah there have been a lot of problems, repaints, kit bashes, and weird figures put out, but all in all in pretty happy with this line. I too hope they keep it going for a while longer. As long as they dont change the cards to a single generic backing i will gladly hand over any money i earn for some 3 3/4 inch plastic! |

I have 3 loose Trouble Bubbles and 1 sealed. On all of them, the cobra sticker is crooked. I ended up just pealing all of them off of the canopy's and then threw them in the trash. I would rather have no stickers on the canopy's than crooked ones...

ditto, i have about 200 utilizing the new rings and never had the crotch or the screw snap. The only thing i have noticed is they are a tad bit smaller than the originals and from time to time i have one snap due to the prolonged tension.
