As much as I love the look of the character molds of PoC, the 25th Anniversary figures had much better distribution. So, while quality has gotten better...distribution to retail stores unfortunately have gotten worse.

I'd have more appreciation for POC if it could of even been found at retail.

Exactly. Its hard to appreciate a line overall (aside from just quality) when the distribution for the line nationwide sucked.

Waves 1 and 2 - everywhere - and Popsicle Destro - forever. Wave 3 - showed up a bit at Target. Wave 4 - only ever found Sky Dive. Wave 5 - luckily found all at Wal-Mart. Wave 6 - found half of the wave at K-Mart once. There were some great figures - tons of cool stuf with them (sad they've cut down of accessories as of late) - coolest Joes ever. It's just a bummer that the crap distribution has tainted the POC line. Hasbro could do a revision case for these - but that's just wishful thinking. |

I appreciate them. a lot. it would be better if some figures weren't so hard to find, they seem like exclusives.

I hope that Retaliation doesn't do the same thing to retail as ROC did, the 30th line seems to have really improved things at retail who wouldn't want to see that continue.
I only need eight more POC figures, and I'm happy to say only one is a "rare" one. It's been such a blast collecting this line, probably the most fun I've had with toys since I was a kid.

POC was a great line; modern and imaginative. I have everything except for the Wolfhound...which I inexplicably passed on when it was plentiful in retail. Happily, I got everything except the 2 TRU exclusives and wave 6 locally, and collectors all know it's more fun to find figures/vehicles "in the wild".
I'm still looking to get my hands on a Wolfhound & driver set. If anyone out there has an extra they could spare, please PM me. |

Not so much the multitude of Dukes, SSs, and SEs, but the weapon loadouts and the artwork.
It also gave us the HISS v5 (great re-update to the iconic vehicle, even though the pop-up feature was kinda gimmicky), brought back the Snow Cat (even in marble-ized colors), and gave us the 4x4 VAMP. What I loved most - the environmental themes. They should do a 25th/30th anniversary version using the MASS battlefields as a theme or Serpentor-element locales.
