That's what I was thinking about the 3 wave 7 cases I recently saw at a Target. It only took 1 week and a half and they were gone. I think they will sell.

There are more new Joe fans with every wave it seems. That being said, they won’t have every figure. I, who have been collecting this line since around the time it started, still have yet to get some of the figures.
I have a strong belief that there are a large group of kids buying these, so the revisions may also be for the little ones. Plus, I’ve found that it’s almost impossible to get Joes where I live, this is most likely due to the fact I live in a college town, but regardless, there’s plenty of people like me, who don’t have time to get up at four every morning to go looking for toys. |

I hope you're right. When MOTU fans cried for more figures Mattel went and over-stocked the shelves with he-man and skeletor variants (the MOTU version of peg-warmers) We all know what happened to MOTU. So everyone go buy a few xtra WB's and Torpedo's and Gnrl Hawk and Bazooka and BBQ and....

As much as it might suck to have extra peg warmers hee and there, it's good to see more product out there. This is what we wanted (more or less), and I think it's good for the line to have it available. Plus, a ton of kids are buying these, and now they have a chance to own them, instead of just collectors.

I have to agree with VooDooDoll, Contrary to what you may think, Hasbro is not putting this line out for the collectors, for instance, take a look at all of the people registered on this site, there is a lot but not that many multiply them by the other four or five GI Joe sites, which most of the people here make up there site register list, that still is not enough people to keep GI Joe afloat. This line is for the kids hands down, the collectors are an added bonus for Hasbro. I think they should revise all the cases and continue to put out the old figures, (personally because before I knew that the line was coming back, the first few lines were gone and I did not get any). They are probably mass producing to get the kids involved right before the movie releases. The toys will help the movie and the movie can turn around and help the toy line. But like or not, this line is for the kids and they are probably bringing the past lines back because some kids like my two boys are just starting to get into it and they missed out on the past lines because the collector/ scalpers scavanged the pegs in the beginning. I say BRING THEM BACK HASBRO!!! BRING THEM ALL BACK!!! and preferably before BBTS has the wave I am waiting on so I can cancel my preorder.

By MASS RELEASE It will be able to let the kids see what they have been missing out on. It will also lower the price of the G.I. Joe Toy line, due to more sales being produced. As more items are now available as in stock. It will benefit everyone but its going to take time. Instead of collectors 'buying them all' It now gives the average consumer a 'fighting chance'. Also it will fend off those e-bay people who buy everything and put it up for sale via their on line store.

I do think the Collectors could keep this line afloat.....I mean their are people who by mult. of figs......one mint, one to open, one to do whatever, Troop builders, people who make customs.....Ive seen 2 kids in one year look at this....and now a days you have to have a Cartoon or Movie to bring kids in. Look at Star Wars and Transformers....both have 2 lines.....one geared towards kids (because of TV Show (TF) and the other Movie (SW) and one geared towards collectors......Classics 2.0/Universe (TF)....Legacy Collection (SW)......Id have more faith in the Collectors and what they will spend..... Besides you also have the Ebay people who buy a crap ton just to sale to collectors...Even Comic Book Shops got in on the Band Wagon........I dont see Ben 10 in those places........ |

The Ebay stores are why they need to reproduce the early line, I certainly dont want to go on Ebay and but a reqular Flint for some outlandish price, I would rather go to Wal Mart and pay 6.99 plus tax, especially since I am buying them for my son who will play with and saddly sometimes break or lose peices. I would love to go online and buy a Whale for 100. to 200 dollars but I am buying them for the kid and what good is having them if they dont get played with. I would also rather they bring back the previous lines than start repainting them and bringing them back as some kind of small force within the force IE. Tiger force or Python patrol, thats what happened 25 years ago and the line went right down the crapper. They should stop at the line that was out right before Battleforce because I think that was when it started rolling down hill. So I am sorry but I have to dissagree with you, it may have started out with a collector pack but its a kids toy. Just think, I had all of the Joes 25 years ago and I am sure alot of you guys did, I have two boys and there new favorite toy is GI Joe of cours I gave that extra little push in the right direction (or maybe a little shove) but if I got my boys into it how many other guys out there did the same? And now my wife is taking the boys to two B-day parties this weekend and she bought GI Joes for both the B-day boys THATS HOW IT STARTS.
