Ever since Hasbro has gone to the non-silver 25th cards I have seen horrible, horrible warping jobs with the cards from factory sealed cases.
For example, tonight I found three cases of Wave 8 Revision 2 figures and only 3 of the 24 cards did not have any warping. I am talking about a noticeble bend in the cards. Then they also had two cases of Wave 9 and just 3 of the 16 figures were in good shape. The other 13 were creased, bubbles smashed or cards severly warped.

I noticed that too on a set of wave 9 all of the cards were warped. They also seemed like they were thinner than the other cards i've gotten from the older 25th figures. Could be just me but it seemed like it.

maybe the lack of a foil layer causes the cards to curl?

They could be purposely letting them sit in an attic for a month before putting them out for sale. That could be why I haven't seen a BAT yet.

What's even stranger is the cases have all been in very good shape so there is no smashing on them which would explain the cards.

Funny you mention this because I checked the check-in sticker at the Walmart for the Wave 5 cases and it said the received the figures on July 27th and just now put them out (roughly a month later).

Ya it's crazy. I have to go down to all the Wally's, Target's, & TRU's and start cracking skulls. Some one needs to take some pride in there toy isles.

The foil or lack of foil has nothing to do with it. The Wave 1 25th Anniversary foil cards were just as bad until enough people complained and Hasbro made them thicker.
I have noticed the same thing about these new cards bending due to a thinner card stock. It reminded me right away about how those first Wave 1 cards were during their original release in 2007. I'm not sure if Hasbro would do anything about it now to fix the situation because I'm thinking that they might feel that the collectors might not view the newer waves as being as valuable or as collectible as the older waves were that had the 25th logo on them. That's just my opinion though because I'm all for thicker card stocks if we could get them.
