Yes we need the backscrew back! Mainly the O-ring! the One Ring to rule them all!

the back screw would rock!...but i'd love to see a figure with both the O-ring AND the mid articulation joint, can you imagine the posability?!

I will give up collecting this line if the O-ring returns. I don't care how great the figure is.
Now if they wanted to articulate the torso in a manner similar to many of the Marvel Legends Figures, [Quick Silver] I could agree with that. That way you'd have your waist swivel and the upper torso pivot. But again, aside from the clearance added to the hips and the now standard backpack hole. I don't see them modifying a figure map that's selling in high demand. |

Quoted, for great justice! I just got a BAT today, and it shows the range of motion the torso joint can be engineered to have. I really don't think the O-ring can match it. Beyond that, I just really don't like having the figure held together with a rubber band. I much preffer having a real joint, that doesn't pull apart under just a small amount of force.

Not to mention we don't get that terrible built in "kung-fu" roundhouse from the new articulation. Spin the o-ring too far around, and it'll span back to a fairly neutral position, or just snap.
But back on subject, Boo to the screw. Hey that rhymed. |

I wish we had the back screw from the start of this anniversary line, but we didn't. As much as I would like to have a back screw on each and every figure, I think I would be a bit upset if they would introduce one now since we are way too far into the line.
The only thing that would make me happy about it is if they let us trade in our non back screw figures for new updated back screw versions. We all know that would never happen. So with that said I would still feel the need to replace all of my figures and that would cost a me bundle to do so. I hate to say it but I hope they just leave them the way they are because that's the way this line started. It's bad enough they decided to change the stands. I was all for the change because I feel that the 2 pegs make the figure sturdier. I just didn't like Hasbro's placement of the second peg because all of the figures that use them seem to face towards the left.

wow whats up with the hate of the oring ? why do ppl want them to look like other toy lines ie showdown figs i hate them? hell if i was SW collector i would want the oring as there figs suck. man i love the o ring as here are the reasons
1) more movement up down side to side. 2) easy to customize 3) easy to fix yes can be a pain but easy to replace parts and the oring. 4) what we grew up on 5) the 25th parts work with the orings just fine. and the gear too. ok they could do it with the movie line coming out they would have a yr or so to fix them and no one would care that much. i know i wouldnt i would be happy. |
