Oh I think this is a bunch a Tomfoolery!! If you went to a Walmart and ask them to special order extra Joes, they would probably laugh you right out of the store. Now... IFFFFFFF you can order extra cases through the internet and have them delivered to the store nearest you, that may could work... But you got better odds at winning in Vegas!!

Despite Hasbro's claim on the increased of production or distribution, I still see a shortage of the 25th carded figures. This is after going to eight different Walmarts on a weekly basis.

Which again means this is something that toy dept manager is doing and you would still be subject to the same distribution issues that fans have been complaining about for months, only this time, you are dropping for a whole case of a wave you may already have, and if you don't pick it up, the store gets shafted with extra product they may not want or need.

Oh, and where exactly are you from?
And I have been going to pretty much all the retailers such as Target (which I try to avoid), TRU, Walmart and Sears/K-Mart. And all I see are Scarlett, Wild Bill, Torpedos, and S.E. from wave 7. I never said anything about Hasbro lying. Just from my observations. |

Not taking a side, but I think Hasbro said by 'fall' the pegs would be filled to the brim and we would have our bellies full. Techinically, its still summer, so I'm still holding out until the falls season arrives. I personally think they were being honest, since many people all over the country are seeing 4 to 7 cases of wave 9 and other waves.
If it hasn't happened where you're at, it's prob only a matter of time. But I feel you, and am looking forward to seeing it in my area as well. Sab |

Yes, you are correct. We'll see how things are looking on the peg(s) when Fall rolls around. |

I think the increased production is already hitting with this latest Wave 9 restock. All of my local Wal Marts seem to have been restocked on Friday night, and now 5 days later I'm still seeing virtually every figure on the pegs, in quantity, except BATs and Snow Serpents. After I left Wal Mart I went to Toys R Us, and they had a case of Wave 9 minus the two troop builders. Next I stopped at Target, and two cases of Wave 9 minus the troop builders.
I've never seen 4 of the 6 figures in a wave still on the pegs 5 days after a restock... heck I don't think I've ever seen 4 of the 6 figures in a wave on the shelf if I wasn't there within hours of the restock. I've seen the same thing with the vehicles... for a few weeks I couldn't go into a Wal Mart without seeing the vehicles. Today I noticed that the Wal Mart was out of stock on the vehicles, but they had the DVD packs... and the Toys R Us had a few of the vehicles. I'd say production is definitely way up. Now, if Hasbro would just get it right and release a case with 4 BATs and 4 Snow Serpents, and in the next wave a case with 4 Bazooka Troopers and 4 Paravipers... then I think we'd all be able to find the figures we want. At this point, with 3/4 of Wave 9 seemingly peg warming, I'm glad I got the 4 BATs I wanted because I'm afraid it will be a while before any more Wave 9 cases are shipped when the pegs are full of the figures that people aren't troop building. Feast or famine, eh? |
