I can't vote yet, I'm just not sure. I've said it before and I'll say it again I prefer the comic over the cartoon but man the base does look awesome in the cartoon, but there's so many levels to the Pit in the comic. Can't we put the badass base from the cartoon on top of the Pit from the comic? That would be awesome.

Oh, this is hard. The HQ from the cartoon is cool and would be easier to make certainly but the PITT would be an awesome playset. I need to debate how it would look in plastic.

While the pit would be cool, I don't see as many "actiony situations" as far as playability.

I don't know what particular issue that pic is from but yes during the Marvel run the Pit was GI Joes headquarters. Many of the early issues of Marvels run featured scenes that took place in the Pit.

The pit just wouldnt be practical. for a toy. The cartoon one lends itself better what with the giant cannon and everything.

I think it was issue # 3, the Trojan Gambit, where the giant Cobra robot traps the Joes in the Pit... man, that was a cool comic. The Pit has plenty of playability if you treat it like that issue. Slamming Doors, an armory, smashing elevators, giant Cobra robot... The Joe base from the cartoon is just kinda cold. It looks sleek, with it's shiny guns and all, but where's the love?
