I really want a proper 30th Repeater figure and would love the POC styling used to create the figure. Here is a recipe idea for him.
- use the body of ROC Footloose with the "alternate" Zartan head from the same ROC TRU 5-pack. (many people have created a 25th style Repeater by doing this). Modify the right thigh to allow a pistol to be carried. And of course mold him in a matching color to the vintage figure with the proper "elbow" like camoflage pattern. Oh, and Black boots too! - use the heavy machine gun, small ammo box/backpack and ammo belt from the 30th Iron Grenadier - get the "stabilizing arm" from POC wave 4 Destro. - either use the vest from the 30th Iron Genadier (WITHOUT the shoulder armor) -OR- make a new vest with an attachment point for the "stabilizing arm" that doesn't look like an ammo pouch and it mirrors the vintage Repeater much more closely (this is my preferred choice). - simply add the backpack from ROC Tunnel Rat/ROC Benchpress/25th Airborne unless Hasbro feels like making a new one that opens to hold some MRE accessories (yes, I mean the meals ready to eat) and other gear. I'd also love it if a newly scuplted backpack had a way of clipping on a SCAR rifle so Repeater has a backup weapon once the heavy machine gun runs out of ammo. What do you guys think? I'd love to see what customizers can do with this recipe! But honestly, I'd prefer to see Hasbro put it on the pegs at the local stores! EDIT: Here is a reference pic of the 30th IG to see the heavy machine gun I am speaking of.

They could save $$ with this by making both the regular version and then a nightforce one.

You could just use an Outback vest as well. That's what I'm gonna do for mine. In the process right now of getting an ROC Footloose figure and a ROC Repeater cap. Though I thought of the IG gun and Destro mounting arm, I think I may go with either an ARAH Repeater set-up or just use the gun that ROC Repeater came with. I was looking for a head with a strong jaw line though and haven't been able to find one yet.

Broken Arrow Toys has a kit for Repeater, but I didn't want to stay with the vintage weapon as it would seem too small to me. Once I saw this IG set-up, I knew this was the way to go. I have all of the existing parts to assemble a "poor mans" Repeater. I'll prbably do that just to take a pic or 2.
BTW, TEMPLAR, The Outback vest is cool, but doesn't offer a way to attach the "stabilizing arm". That's why I skipped it. (the 25th green colored one does look cool though).

I highly recommend the POC TRU Spirit vest. It was very difficult to get a hold of (thanks superdaver) but well worth it. It's not the same green of Outback's, but it fits much better. It's a great design as an homage to the ARAH most of us want but still modern military / POC-esque. And of course, no paint. |

That sound great to me. Repeater was one of my favorites back then.
Maybe the community as a whole could come together and make a list of ARAH figures that Hasbro could easily make with simple and creative repaints and with out having to make any new toolling. We could make a list submit it to both Hasbro and the GIJoe Collector's Club. Maybe someone would listen. I bet we could come up with atleast 15 figures, The only real limit would be heads to pick from and of course the most obvious repaints of Tiger Force, Night Force and Slaughter's Marauders, would account for 23 easy no-brainer repaints from these sub groups with figures they've already made. They could squeeze out some Sonic Fighters and probably most of Sky Patrol too. I've been thinking about Sneak Peak ever since I opened up my Rock Viper two weeks ago. Sneak-Peak just like Repeater would be super easy to make. With the Rock Viper's torso and upper arms and waist, POC Dusty's head, 25th Airborne's helmet, POC jungle Duke's lower arms, anyones gloved hands, 25th Viper boots and feet and just about any plain upper legs would work. |

Check out Raginspoon here on the Tank. He has a B/S/T thread (linked in his sig file) where he has created Sneak Peek and sells the figure kit. It's the bees knees dude!
