...So...I'm up visiting my mom in the burbs of Chicago, and we hit a Target...Found all 3 of the new comic packs. I REALLY wanted to just nab the Falcon/Nem "Immortal" pack...but ended up buying all of them...

I'm sure Shogi and Eopie will give much better reviews, but til' they do...here's my take...


Falcon/Nem Immortal:

Falcon has always been a fav of mine...and it's a good figure. Typical Duke arms (GAK) The head is cool. and the legs hips have a good range of motion. It dosen't look "fixed" but he's not spread eagle like the old figures when in full sitting position. Major complaint (besides the arms) is the web gear...Not a major complaint, but a slight disapointment. The backpack rocks, but the webgear will play with the backpack and offer an awkward tilt in certain positions. Plus the shotgun sucks. I may be biased with having a Maurauder shotgun that's in Flint's hands now...but I would have preferred that type of tac Shotgun rather than the one Lt. comes with.

Oh yeah...Falcon also has a 1911 Colt holster, but no Colt. BOO!!!

Nem Enforcer...err..Immortal....

WOW...I didn't have high expectations for this figure...but damn, it rocks. A bit off balance, and that green actopus thing is rather useless, but otherwise...very cool. Honestly, the 2nd coolest figure of this new Comic wave.

I went out wanting Falcon, but ended up liking Nem Imm more...


CC/Tripwire:

CC...Very cool. Again, a useless holster with the CG thigh holster and no accompaning gun, but the Range of Motion on the head is amazing and makes up for that. Just a very powerfull and regal looking figure. the Cobra sword is a very nice touch...Would have prefered the gold trim to be a bit more metalic/solid...but that's an easy fix.

Tripwire: My FAVORITE figure out of this CP wave. I wasn't expecting it, and I'm glad I got it. Again, the ROM in the head is unbelievable. Pretty much a straight Flash repaint with different lower legs. But the new head and color scheme make this 2nd Gen character a masterpiece and the strongest of the line. The acc. are okay. The metal detector dosen't fit well in his hand, but it stays at least.

IG D/ IG T:

The IGD...meh...Good color cheme for a shelf warmer. Better color for the acc. I'm not a fan of the vac sealed heads...With doing photo-stories, the flatter colors make the detail stand out more.

IGT: Not bad....I must have gotten a bad pack...it seems like his feet are on backwards, and the sword sheath is bent at the chains at an awkward, gravity defying angle....not a biggie...I love the head sculpt, and despite contrary beliefe, I really dig the gi-normous uzi (get a lego technic joint piece and it makes a nice suppressor) the pansy arse red laser gun....I hope I lose it lol.


All in all....A very impressive wave. I was hoping for the Destro IG variant, but a'las...not to be had this hunt. But deffinatly, all three are worthy of the gettin's for us fans.

True...Too light. But it coulda' been MUCH worse. I'm sure they'll fix it with a single pack. Hopefully add in the supposed new fixed Duke arms, though TF Flint's arms would be better and more character correct.

REALLY digging the Nem Imm though...Hopefully going to pick up a few of these. The arms are great for customs.

I love the nemmy too. He falls of his stand alot. I have mine hunched over to keep him from falling.

Ditto, kinda slouched with one leg off the stand, almost in a shoulder block pose with that blade leading the way.

I am note sure what's going on with the weapons on these comic packs. I would have loved to have Falcon and CC complete with their guns. Falcon's shotgun looks like they are reusing VVV Tele-Viper's shotgun. Also that oversized uzi and tiny red pistol is almost a mismatch in size for the IG trooper.

I find it odd that we have two figures in this wave with holsters and no weapons to holster... and the IG has his tiny red gun and no holster for it.

I mean, his hands are already full with that giant uzi. Couldn't they have used the left over hole in the small of his back for a holster? Or if nothing else put an extended peg on the gun?

My Cobra Commander came with a gun. A little gold one to go in that holster. Weird...
