and most likely some exclusives, that's probably going to be the best place for the ongoing 25th line next year. Hopefully we'll see BAT and VIPER packs from TrU, and more things like the extreme environment packs.

If thats true, we're getting ONE FRICKING NEW FIGURE??? For the first time since seeing a rumor list for 25th Joes, I'm horribly disappointed.

Heres preying that thats wrong, I don't need that many repaints, or that much custom fodder.

Yeah, we need to see the completion of 82-84, thats only 5 more figures to announce: Zap (82), Cover Girl (83), Blowtorch (84), Recondo (84), and Ripcord (84). To complete the first three years would take less than ONE wave. As for 85 there are only 6 left: Airtight, Footloose, Frostbite, Heavy Metal, Tollbooth, Keel-Haul, and Lamprey. However, by the time we get to 86, we start to loose completeness, theres still 17 figures left (I don't count Leatherneck as being done yet). So I think there's hope of finishing 82-85 completely if Hasbro's smart, and maybe we'll get some favs from 86-94 thrown in as well.

AMEN. They should run the lines concurrently. Collectors alone would keep profits up if they did, and I think a lot of kids would want the colorful Joes as opposed to the Matrix dudes from the movie.

I know, huh. I do think Red Emblem Trooper and single-carded Dreadnocks will make some folks happy (and i'm happy to get the Python Guardsmen, what can i say i'm a Tiger Force/Python Patrol mark) it's a kinda week line up. The lack of new characters upcoming is really disappointing to me (like all the single new characters in multipacks, argh!).

Technically, there are still 16 figures from '82-'85 that haven't been officially announced or that we haven't seen officially made yet. Zap, Grand Slam (a simple Flash repaint), Cover Girl, Grunt (tan repaint), Thunder, Recondo, Rip Cord, Blowtorch (I know he's rumored, but it's not official yet), Clutch (another tan repaint), Airtight, Footloose, Frostbite, Heavy Metal, Keel Haul, Lamprey and Tollbooth. If you are being extremely technical Sgt Slaughter v1 is also from '85 (although he wasn't actually released/shipped until early spring of '86) which pushes that number up to 17.

Honestly, I'm fine with my red Grand Slam, tan Clutch and Grunt custom repaints (all easy customs to do) and don't care if Hasbro never does these three officially. But that still leaves 13 (14 if you include Slaughter) for them to get to.

i would call Blowtorch official ~ so far as i know the Wal-Mart computers have been batting 1.000 ~ i remember when everyone swore they couldn't be right about Tiger Force Flint cuz Hasbro said "they weren't doing sub-teams"... they've been dead-on for waves 7-11 at least...
