With the upcoming DVD pack figures and the comic pack figures, we're not far from having the entire '83-'85 line up in 25th form. Here's what's still needed:
'82: Zap
'83: Cover Girl, Tan Grunt
'84: Blowtorch, Recondo, Ripcord, Tan Clutch, Thunder
'85: Airtight, Frostbite, Tollbooth, Heavy Metal, Keel Haul, Lamprey, Sgt. Slaughter

That's only 15 figures...15 friggin figures away from a complete lineup. I'm betting that we'll see Zap, Covergirl, tan Grunt, Blowtorch, Ripcord, Tan Clutch, Airtight, Frostbite, and Lamprey before the movie line starts, which leaves us with 6 unaccounted for figures, that, other than Recondo, I could live without. Yes, I want a Sarge as bad as anyone, but there's issues with him, apparently. Still, I think this is flippin amazing. Not only that, but we've got a good start on the '86 lineup as well.

All I want to say is congratulations, Hasbro. You didn't have to do this. You could have re-released the last few years worth of stuff, and we still would have bought it all again. But you hit one out of the park with the 25th line. You didn't even have to retool the classic vehicles, but you did. Sure, there's been some bumps in the road, but all in all, Hasbro gets an A from me. I can't wait to see the movie line, nor the Resolute line. Keep up the good work.

Doh, I figured I'd miss one. Ok, 16 figures. Still, that's quite an acomplishment.

I think that's pretty good going for a figure tribute that was going to last just two boxsets. Considering that, I can't really criticise Hasbro for the 'missing' characters.

Besides, there are a few characters from later years I'd love to see (Flak Viper, SAW Viper, Toxo Viper & Zombie, Cesspool, Topside.. loads more in fact!) so why make '85 a cut-off point? Blimey, I think even Star Brigade would look good in the new style...
