you know Mr. G when I first read this my first thought was "some people are not happy unless they are bitching about something" If you are an opener then regardless of what it is called it is still very much a Mainframe figure. And a damn good looking one at that.

But there is something that I did not think about. The collectors who keep theirs carded. I could see how that could be a problem. But regardless would you rather have a kick ass Mainframe figure being called Data Frame or not have one at all? Or better yet would you rather have a figure that looks like crap, nothing like the original at all, nothing that even comes close to what the figure should be and have IT called Mainframe? I'll go out on a limb here and say that regardless of what is on the card or stand you are still going to call him Mainframe.

see I knew somebody would say something about his headsculpt. I like it. First off he doesn't look like a Duke or Flash clone. Second he looks F'n pissed. Now I like that. For the simple reason he is the computer guy and he looks like he could whip the nerd anger out of everybody bitching about his name

I rather have a kick ass figure being called by its proper name. Is that too much to ask?

Going back to your comment though...This new Main Frame or "Data Frame" looks really good. Much better than the upcoming Falcon. They might aswell should have called him Dodo Bird cause he looks nothing like Falcon.

So if I had to pick, I rather have a bad ass figure over the proper name.

But again, Is it too much to ask for both?

if it is a copywrite issue then it very well could be too much to ask. Ok lets look at it like this. What about Sgt. Slaughter? If WWE doesn't let Hasbro use his name but the are able to make a new figure that looks like the classic figure (note the cartoon and figure both looked NOTHING like the real Sarge) but they call him lets say "gunny butcher" what would you say then?

I see you point but WWE created the Sgt. Slaughter name not Hasbro.

Main Frame on the other hand, was created by Hasbro not WWE. They should have better protected their characters name, thats all Im saying.

umm... how do you get the figure and cartoon character Not looking like the "real" Sergent? I think it's a pretty good likeness.

Not only would they have to work out a deal with the WWE, they'd have to work out a deal with the actor to use his likeness.
