The snow cat has always been one of my favorite vehicles. I had found a old beat up one. So i cleaned it up and got parts and saved this snow cat. I was setting it up lastnight and picked the figures that were in the 85 catalog. I tried to be precise on how they are on there. How did i do?

That's pretty much spot-on to the 1985 catalog, nice! Once I get my hands on a vintage Snow Job, I'm going to display mine to replicate the box artwork with Snake-Eyes in the passenger seat.

Although I don't really like hiding Snake-Eyes away like that, so I might instead recreate the 1986 catalog image with Barbecue in the passenger seat and Snake-Eyes, Iceberg and Alpine in the outside.

Thanks. I thought of the box but liked the catalog idea better. Just because i use to stare at it all the time. I was thinking the 86 catalog also but really wanted to stay with the 85.

I hear you there, 1985 is the high point of vintage GI Joe stuff for me also. I can't help but feel that 1986 was where it all started to go wrong with Serpentor and the B.A.T.s. However, I don't think I ever had a 1985 catalog when I was a kid. I know I had the 1984 and 86 catalogs though.

My first choice is the box front because that image was burned into my mind as a kid. During the summer of 86, we were going shopping with my niece and walking through Sears when I saw the Snow Cat on the shelf for $9.95 or something like that. I didn't stop and buy it, though, because we were on our way to Toys R Us and I thought there would be something cooler over there. Unfortunately all I found at TRU was a HAVOC, which I bought because my only other option was to go home empty handed. I never really like the vehicle that much, but my niece wasn't going to drive us across town to a store we had already been to. I regretted the purchase almost as soon as I left the store and it wasn't until just a couple weeks ago that I finally scored a really nice Snow Cat with the box off of Ebay.
