I was just putting the stickers onto my newly acquired Target exclusive blue Hiss Tank when I got to the rectangle sticker that has the blue hook on it. According to the instructions the sticker belongs on the front of the Hiss tank inbetween the treads. I remember that the same sticker went in the same place on the original ARAH Hiss Tank as well. For some reason though I don't like the sticker being there, especially since there is a gap between the 2 pieces of plastic the sticker lies over. I was also wondering why that sticker was put there in the first place because the towing hook is on that backside of the Hiss tank. So with that in mind I decided to place that sticker on the back of the Hiss tank underneath the towing hook. In fact the sticker fits in the spot under that hook almost like it was made to go there. I think it looks much better in that spot than up in front, but hey that's my opinnion.
Before anyone gets on my case about that sticker and what the hook means I also thought it could be a warning sign for Cobra mechanics not to tow the Hiss from the front, but that's just looking into it way too much. Let me know of your thoughts on this matter as well as if you have done similar things with stickers on other vehicles.

yes, in limited cases, dictated by difficulty of placement, complete lack of logical reasoning for placement, and or pure asthetics.
i never apply any of the roll bar sticker. they simply do not stick because the sticker material is too thick.

As far as helping out with the difficulty of sticker placement, I decided to try using a pair of tweezers today and they helped out quite a bit.

Not really.
The places where the stickers are supposed to go 'officially' usually make sense and match up with the blueprints. I do leave some of the more fiddly ones off sometimes, as too many little arrows or hazard signs can make a vehicle look a bit messy.

Got a pic of the HISS sticker placement?
I have also left off the roll bar stickers on the AWE Striker. I couldn't get them to lie flat at all.

offical only really matters to the perfectionist. i prefer functional.
many of the factory stickers also have way to much border on them which makes fitting them akward and in some cases, hinders there placement. then you have the preapplied stickers... a majority of these are either done incorrectly or so far askew as to throw off other adjacent stickers. the flight pod turbine cobra stickers come to mind. they should be much higher to allow for the numbers to fit above the bottom beveled exhaust cone however i could not do that on any of the ones i opened as the cobra symbols were all placed way to low and i did not want to damage them by peeling them off which is also easy do do with the stock stickers. they are multilayered and if you do it wrong, they delaminate and are basically ruined.

If a sticker says "tool kit" (for example), I like to put it on what the blueprint says is a tool kit, that's all.
I'm certainly no 'perfectionist'. In fact I've just used a lot of the stickers from my TF Encore Omega Supreme to put a little 'interior detail' on my Armadillo, while some Macross Variable Fighter labels made it onto my VAMP!

Yeah, the factory applied stickers are off on some places and I have to reapply them elsewhere on the vehicle. As far as the roll bars go, does anyone know how to get them to stick properly?
