yeah duke & cc was the worst, at least the hawk figure was cool with the hawk & scarlett pack.

the first SS/SE 2 pack was great for making a SS much closer to Sunbow's SS and the blue SE can easily be made into a Cobra Mortal and Invasor. :>

I'd have to agree that the Tomax and Xamot pack were the best. Mainly because they're not just more kit-bashes or repaints and they're actually surprisingly well made. Even the comic was pretty good for an all-new story (overall the non-reprint comics have been mostly horrible).

Duke and Cobra Commander in comic colors is the worst set so far.

What's especially genius about the Tomax/Xamot set is that they are not only the same figure, but the same paint job too (except for Xamot's scar)! Only the attached pieces are different to make them seem like mirror images. Pretty clever design there.

i just wonder why the new comic books are so awful.

not the re-issues of the classic marvel ones but the new stories with that terrible art.

yeah, they are pretty much unreadable, both from an art and story standpoint.

My favorite is Fred (minus his WWI piece)/Scarface 2 figures i always wanted as a kid!!! Bring on Dr. Venom!!!

i think one spot they missed the boat on with the "new comic" comic packs is they could have woven a subplot across them to encourage folks to collect them all. even made it a complete story, in theory.

All of them. Except the Firefly/Storm Shadow one, but only for Firefly. That Storm Shadow is hideous.

Worst - I have heavy Cobra leanings, so the Duke/Scarlett (sp?) pack didn't do much for me. It would have been better if I could have figured out how to keep his cursed helmet on his head. LOL

Best - Firefly/SS, or Copperhead/Shipwreck, based entirely on Copperhead. Now he just needs a ride. ;-)
