The price of oil is not coming back down, because even as the developed world uses less of it, the developing world will want more. The price of oil not coming down means the price of toys won't either, because the toys are made of oil. It might not rise much more, it might hold steady between 7 and 8 dollars...but under $5 is long gone.

It has less to do with Toys being made of oil as it does with Transportation costs...
With that said, Mattel hasn't raised prices at all....So right now it is clearly a Hasbro issue. Mr. Savage |

That might be the price of gas in a couple of months. Ouch. Yeah, I can't see the prices (of Joes) coming back down, once the stores have seen that people will pay that much for them. It's funny - the price of fuel hardly ever affected how much stuff cost at retail until recently. Now, when it's such a crisis, it affects the cost of EVERYTHING.

ill tell you that if gas goes over 5.00 youll see a lot more crime and on top of that alot more people riding bikes or walking. if the economy doesnt get fixed soon people are going to snap and there will be riots. you wait and see.
the world is fuct right now. its bs joes cost what they cost. it prolly costs hasbro about 1.00 to make them. which is the funniest part. |
