Whatever Hasbro does I hope they never go with the hip joints that the Marvel figures have....I freaking hate those things.
Really I think from a strict points of articulation standard, I don't see how they could really add a whole lot more. Eventually there just isn't enough plastic left. The comparison with Microman is a bit tough, because those figures are generally just smooth textured manakins, where the Joe figures have more sculpted clothes and a more realistic look. If I have any complaints, I do wish they'd find a way to either double-joint the elbows or enhance the range of motion. I hate it when figures can't get in a proper firing pose, and that would help a ton. |

YES! I was hoping someone would say this. But, I'll add to that "better hands". It is/they are my biggest complaint(s).
For all the articulation the "new" style figures have, they still can barely hold their weapons, much less hold them in a realistic position. Maybe if they gave the elbow the two articulation points like the knee, it would be better. |

This is the expanded articulation Hasbro is already doing on their newest MU figures. I'd like to see some of it on joes. Otherwise I have no reason to buy another snake eyes ever again.
To compare, I opened a single carded MU Thor a while back. It was like holding partially hardened silly putty. Some of the new Captain America figures have spindly legs and just feel cheap. GI Joe is suppose to tough and the toys should be as well.

Swivel crotch bulge. So they can go "schwing!" whenever Scarlet walks by.

I'd like to take this a step further and suggest articulated genitals. We'd probably get more female characters in the line, and the dio possibilities are intriguing.
