Yeah, great advice! Keep working harder, keep obsessing over money, keep putting in more & more hours. Give up your humanity, give up all your free time, give up your wife, your kids & your friends. Work round the clock like a machine so the landlords & the gas companies & the electric companies & the insurance companies & the grocery stores & Hasbro can keep raising the fuckin prices & suck you dry. There's only so many hours in a week that you can work, eventually you'll run out but keep working harder! Just keep bending over & taking it. Then when you're old & gray you can look back at your pointless, miserable existence & then drop dead.
As long as they keep raising the prices constantly working harder has nothing to do with it. Last edited by Steelgrave; 06-19-2011 at 10:10 PM.. |

Sometimes employees do this when they stock the figures figuring they'll just buy them after their shift ends.

As long as they keep raising the prices constantly working harder has nothing to do with it. that has nothing to do with obsessing, it has to do with personal pride. the fact that you don't grasp that is probably why your life is so shitty and why you are always complaining -- you have no pride and take no pride in learning and performing. when I look back on my life, it'll be with pride of accomplishment. all you have in this life is what you do. ah, I see. I just went back and actually read your post.
I still stand by my statement. if you can't afford it don't fucking buy it...or put it on credit. If you don't have $10 to waste don't go near a toy aisle. It is good to work hard and earn your motherfuckin money...but don't be a slave either. Company I work for is like that, they love people with no lives willing to work 10+ hours a day 6 days a week. Of course once they see you are willing to put in those hours because you're a sad, pathetic wretch they switch you from hourly to salary and expect you to maintain those hours....it makes business sense but damn....I would NEVER take a salary position at my work place. It would pay more than the hourly job I have but I would pay for it in time lost with loved ones. If I OWNED a business I'd put in that time, but not as an employee, fuck that. At least not where I'm working. Management can be pretty thankless sometimes. Despite that I'm happy where I'm at for now. The pay raises are shitty but my wage is good enough to support a family of two. Good experience till I find something better. Meantime i've got a nice 2 bedroom apartment, working vehicle, 2 pets, wonderful wife, cell phones and the internet. Don't need much else. |
