A few days ago I wrote a thread that had to do with Hasbro's misuse of re-used parts. You can find the thread here...
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12262 I totally understand that Hasbro has to re-use parts in order to keep costs down, and I was all for that. My gripe was that if they had to re-use parts I would have hoped that they re-used them correctly. I had commented on Major Bludd being released with Zartan parts when he would have looked a hell of a lot better with the Hiss Driver's torso. I also mentioned that I wished that Tripwire was going to released with the same smoothed down torso that the Hiss Driver had. Instead we are getting the torso with the grid like pattern that Flash and Grandslam have. My major problem with these figures is that I wish they could represent their original ARAH counterparts as closely as possible, especially if you already have the parts to do so with. With that all said and new pics coming in from the convention that has been going on this weekend, we are finally seeing that some of our complaints might have been heard. There is a Major Bludd in the upcoming Cobra Desert Assault Squad pack that I wish they would have released on a single card in the first place. I'm not a troop builder and I only want that figure, so I guess I will have to buy the pack and sell the others, or make a trade to get him. Another figure that we have been asking for is an all black Snake Eyes V2 with Timber. Well Hasbro showed an all new Snake Eyes V2 sculpt that is to be part of one of the upcoming DVD packs. The only problem that I have with him is that he looks to be in his cartoon colors. He looks as if he is navy blue or purple, definitely not black. First I thought it had something to do with the camera's flash, but Quick Kick's pants are in black right next to Snake Eyes. I also thought that they might have just used this color for the pre-production figure, but they look like final sculpts that are almost ready for production to me. By the way what do you guys think of the new figures we are getting? I really like the way Cutter came out even having to re-use Gung-Ho's head and hat. See that is a great job re-using a part to save money. I applaud Hasbro there especially for placing the familiar red "B" (which shall remain nameless) on his blue hat. I also dig the Starduster figure but I hope that Hasbro gives him some camouflage on his pants. Dusty and Quick Kick are amazing, and the new cartoon Serpentor is nice too but I wish he had more green and lost those plates around his thighs. I also like the Scrap Iron figure that is coming in the Cobra Arctic Assault Squad, but I hope they release him eventually in his original ARAH colors. Last but not least Slipstream and the Conquest X-30 plus the Rattler and Wild Weasel kick major butt. I never owned a Rattler so that one is a definite plus. One other gripe that I have has to do with what appears to be Short Fuse. I am very happy and excited that Hasbro plans on releasing all of the original 13 for us. I just wish that they did a better job with his paint scheme. First off if we don't get new web gear for Short Fuse and Zap, I would be ok with it just as long as their paint schemes were correct. I just didn't like the brown paint all over this new figure's web gear. I'm also happy that we are getting glasses on him because I feel that they give him character to separate him from the rest of the green shirts. I just wish the glasses were a bit more like the ones the first Baroness figure had. When we finally get to see a new Zap figure I hope he will have a mustache. Let me know what you all think. I think Hsbro is listening to the fans, I attended the presintation for this upcoming year and all the Hasbro people that were there seem to be fans as well. I even saw a few of them going to the dealer set ups and buying figures for thier own collection. This tells me they are fans of the originals juat like us and I'm sure they are doing what they can to give us what we want. I saw it this weekend with all the new stuff for the coming year. I'll take what ever they give us considering this line was not going to continue this far.

listening to us yes. Actually doin what they should be....im ehhh on that one. While i agree with scoop i still feel that with the lines impending "cancelation" or Hiatus as they jokingly call it that they are just trying to appease us before we're hit with peg warming movie stuff.

I agree. I think that they think that they can make way more PROFITS on the movie line. In the end it doesn't matter who is happy, it's all about making money. Every business is like that, they may say the customer is right and important but in reality, the only thing thats important is PROFIT. |

Did anyone ask the Hasbro group why they opted to glue Bludd's helmet to his head but leave the missiles extremely loose in the backpack and therefore easily lost?

Ill tell you this much i love evrything i just saw up on those pics im happy there stepping it up. theres a few charectars i want made badly that aint come out yet like Road Pig & Zandar , but im happy none the less. the rattlers a big plus and i like the desert pack alot and also the vipers pack and its just crazy alot of good stuff on the way so so far so good on there part. and yes i do think they tune in and listen around to whut people want it might not be 100 percent why they fufill that demand but it helps alot so the fans have to keep speaking out.
so in that case ..... ROAD PIG, ROAD PIG, ROAD PIG HASBRO !

I forgot to add a few things to my list up above during my rant. Did anyone see the new Tiger Force Duke? He is coming with a gun that I wish they gave the 25th V1 Duke figure the first time around. Reminds me of the gun that came with the ARAH Duke and might just be a re-mold. Also did anyone notice Duke's arms. The articulation that gave all of the other Duke's arms a slice through it is gone. I did not notice any new articulation at the cuff of the sleeve though. This could just be a pre-production pic where this articulation hasn't come into play. I think I remember seeing a pre-production pic of Red Star with the same arms and we all thought then that Hasbro was done using "Duke arms". When Red Star was finally released he did indeed have "Duke arms". I guess we will have to wait and see what kind of arm articulation Tiger Force Duke will have when he is finally released.

I think that Hasbro listens to us sometimes. Point? The change in TF Flint's arms from the ones the first Flint had.
