If they do that ticket system again, I will skip the hasbro booth altogether. Thats why I missed out last year. By the time I got a ticket I couldnt go in until the next day, and they sold out of the destros on the first day which was the only reason I went. I was sooo dissapointed. Then the first day after they sold out the lines weren't long and they let people in without the tickets. I've complained to them 3 times so far about this. They said it was a fire hazard, so they decided to do the ticket system. This years exclusives don't sound too impressive so I don't care if I get them or not. I'm just going to go to have fun, and see the shows and new stuff coming out.
Last year Hasbro's booth was the biggest clusterfrak I've ever seen in my entire life. But I really don't think they had yet gotten it through their heads just how popular the 25th line was. But the line hadn't been out that long at that point and of course they get it now. But I'd still go early and plan to wait. |

I've heard that the convention center officials now MAKE EVERYONE do a ticket system because the lines get too long and the fire marshall breaks them up anyway.

I remember a few years ago they re-released the He-Man figures and a friend of mine wanted me use my badge to get more. Wasn't mad but got home the second night of Comic con and they were selling the He-Man Re-release for $150 on ebay and people were buying them. I was kicking myself in the butt. But it was ok we are still friends I just hope I get some Exclusives.
Now to the meet demands. My company has done some stuff at the SD convention center and booth space is outragiously priced. I know one of the Directors of Con cool guy and they start planning next years con right after and he has been doing this for years. Space is limited and pricey. It's not that Hasbro can't meet the damned there it's just not cost effective for them to do it. They are a business to and it sucks. But I would rather have them have a nice sized booth then to raise the price of Joes. Face it we all have a GI JOE Crack problem here lol. Glad I got my ticket early will be there wednesday to form my battle plan on were to start this year. |

GREAT info guys, thanks for the heads up on all the info. Did not know that the Exclusives Sold out so soon. So here is what I have gathered.
- TANKERS who are going to the CON should get together and Meet up (Especially if we want to get the exclusives, which I do) - Get in Line for the Ticket to get in the Line for The Hasbro Booth - Pray to the Joe Gods that your Ticket Gets Called - Wait in the Joe Line - Buy Only Two exclusives - Buy Clam Shells as many as they let Is this about right? |

Two things:
Bring your camera because there will be lots of exotic women in exotic outfits and costume!! Last, head straight to Hasbro's boot and secure a number ticket. |

it is a crazy mad house. I think the 4 day passes last year sold 115,00, that isn't including one dayers or exhibitors, this year they already sold out of the 4 day passes like a week or two ago, so alot will probably be buying all 4 days seperately, so expect more people then last year.
It is the only show I go to every year and it is a pain but man what an experience, if you are there to meet artists/creators, be friendly/nice but not too friendly because they will think you are a weird freaky fanboy. I can't stand the lines, but I wait in the ones I need to be in. Best idea is to plan ahead, know where you are going, know where the booths are set up, so you aren't just wandering around (I hate those people, always getting in the way) This con is huge so be prepared to be overwhelmed. |
