The Dollar Tree store chain has horses and 2 styles of motorcycles that are ideal for joes. They do have a line of rip-off action figures that can be used as generic thugs. They also have larger figures with accessories like ninjas (with transparent swords) and wrestlers (with folding chairs and ladders). the figures are too big but the accessories can be used with joes.

I use motorcycles with joes that I got from walmart. They are like 3 bucks. Fit well. Got it when I envisioned a cool chase with them like in that Jean Claude Van Damn movie that takes place in new orleans. I saw that set your talking about arthurdent. I like the ring that comes with the wrestler set. ALmost like the ufc ring but cheaper. I also saw some small stuff at dollar general once that was good for joes. One was a battlement thingie and dont remember the other one..Anyways. I also mix some of my mu figs with my joes but only ones that might be mixed in like Black Widow, Deadpool, and MAYBE cable. Oh and the obvious I mix in pte.

What a cool thread!
Backspace, that two-headed wolf from the opening post is awesome! And holy crap, I'm gonna have to get a Nitro Rider motorcycle, too. And while I knew about the old McFarlane Monsters sets, I'd never seen one with Joes; the scale is great! Lots of awesome recommendations in this thread. We had a similar thread at Joe Battlelines a few years ago, but it was for the Sigma scale, so it probably wouldn't be very useful for most fans of this thread. However, some of the things we discussed could work for small Joes; Hellboy Wink could be a bigass monster, and Mezco's Kong and Treebeard could be useful. Things I use: Indiana Jones figures: Transformers: Star Wars and Marvel Universe and DC figures for Joe kitbashes: Or as companions or opponents: I've been considering that awesome crocodile to replace Croc Master's tiny one for years, but I keep holding off because of the price... and then I spent thirty-some dollars on this damn T-Rex: Corps figures for inspiration: Last edited by Monte Williams; 12-04-2011 at 01:12 PM.. |
