I love the Viper figure. I think it's one of the best Joe figures of the year, and an example that when Hasbro does a new sculpt, they knock it out of the park. However, one thing that I noticed and was bothered by, was the fact that it seemed, at least to me, that he was unable to place his feet flat on a surface. Almost like he was stuck doing the end of the moonwalk.
At first, I thought it was just a bad ankle joint. Then I realized when I gave my Bludd figure a pair of Viper lower legs, it did the same thing. Because of the sculpted wrinkles on the bottom of the boot (both front and back) were blocking the hinge joint from moving. I trimmed away a wrinkle or two, and now he stands perfect, and joint moves fine. Anyone else have to do the same? |

there have been several threads about this. Turn the vipers feet to the outside, lift up, turn back in place and voila, he stands up now.

Hm, I did a search and couldnt find anything? The joint seemed to rubbery when I tried moving it around on the side.

Yep, turning the feet outward and flexing them up and down works. I also think the Viper is one of the best figures. My only complaint is the removable goggles, but super glue fixes that.

My complaint about the goggles (and on the original viper as well) is why are they there in the first place...you got a helmet with a face shield. At what point does a viper need goggles with a full face mask?

Excellent point, Mojo...was wondering that myself. The googles don't bother me as much as the hands!
