Agreed on the stupid redeco group crap. But I would absolutely buy up a space line. Even just a two man shuttle and a satellite or something would be nice.

I'm down for Astro-theater troops.
Outer space action is useless without an extra-terrestrial threat, though.

Space exploration has always been a major part of the Joe mythos and American experience going back to the very origins of the line.
Yes to space.

A space shuttle, and/or a couple of astronauts, sure.
An entire space line? No way. A lot of the awesomeness of GI Joe comes from there being lots if specialists in lots of fields. Take that away, and it sucks. The last thing we need is Space Duke and Space Snake-Eyes.

Not Only would I support a Space line.. i say go full monte on it!
1) THIS WOULD TOTALLY PULL IN KIDS Hasbro claims that non collectors and kids are whats floating the line.. well give them something they can eat up. Every kid in every generation since the 60's wanted to be an astronaut, let alone a cool space soldier with guns. 2) Who said they have to be rehashed? everyone assumes this is gonna be a rehash of star brigade... between the reactive armor and delta 6 suits or ROC, and the alien esque designs in POC. I can see a whole new line of space soldiers and cobra space bats, evolve into a newer side line... 3) the success of that line would fuel others now if a line like can draw in children, it would also become the magnet for the missile launching, motorized action features into the line...(keeping them out of the other lines) but that would also fuel interest for OTHER LINES, rising sales for POC, Renegades and G.i.joe II. and THATS What Hasbro wants.. and higher sales would also entice Hasbro to be quicker to give us what we want. ..like make more classic figures, or more realistic figures.. 4) Why not aliens? you tell me you wouldnt want this?

I'd buy a new Payload and Countdown. Don't want aliens though... Joes can go into space without Aliens.

Nope, I would want it.
If they could rope the Renegades into taking on a deep space mission like Bruce Willis in ARMAGEDDON, make a slightly juiced up shuttle--navy primer grey with black highlights and add in a few upgraded astronauts with mmu's and Im in. For good measure, make an armored lunar/mars transport with a buggy, also a service pod for a space station that pops out of the spacecraft. Instead of a space shuttle, design it for speed--MISSION TO MARS X-2 would be a great place to start. Deep Space mission vessel can be component based, just like the real stuff and have it cusomizable. Add the components you want to make the mission you want. NEW PLAYMOBIL SPACE pictures from friends & fun photos on webshots I designed stuff for PLAYMOBIL--I love them short german klickies and no, this was never official, after visiting mission to mars, I realized why space playmobil themes sucked, no realism. The pods have the stems for the feet and would make it look like zero G, you could open up and see the inside or close it and go play on the outer space. The pod sections could fit into a shuttlecraft and also I would like to see a version of the HL-10 ERV ala 6M Man, that thing was and is still very cool. http://thumb17.webshots.net/t/81/81/...7LoBmTN_th.jpg |

I would absolutely support a GIJoe space themed line if it were realistic/somewhat futuristic. The Defiant is a fantastic set and while it is futuristic, it is based off the actual space shuttle. I wouldn't want anything with aliens, that is for sure. But I can certainly see battles in orbit between Joe and Cobra playing out. Actually, we already did see this in the comics and in the cartoon. I loved them both.
