I finally picked up an RoC Polar Sharc today. I sat it down earlier and noticed it wouldn't sit flat because of a pet sticking out of the bottom of it. In the movie we all know that these little vehciles launch from the side of a bigger sub. Do you think Hasbro had plans to make these vehicles attach to a larger vehicle, you know, had RoC done better. In a Q&A last night with Larry Hama he told the group of us that GI Joe was about the vehicles, maybe Hasbro had planned on giving us a larger vehicle.

The peg is supposed to be where a missile (torpedo?) launcher mounts. Didn't yours come with a grayish-blue launcher to stick on the underside?

Thats a good point. Sadly I am thinking we will not see any ultra size vehicles soon.
What I really noticed about the Polar Shark is that little missile launcher falls out really easily. Way too easily.

I was also wondering what the peg was for when I got my Polar Sharc too. General Joes (G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA - Polar Shark Sub w/ Ice Storm) believes it to be a passenger mount, but I think that's crazy and suicidal.

The original ARAH SHARC had a mount on the bottom to attach a figure. Perhaps it is an homage to that?

No, the missle launcher fits into the octagon shaped whole, the peg I am referring to is behind that.

WOW! A figure can fit in that peg! Are the designers at Hasbro high when the design these things?

I always figured it was for a figure.
A diver being brought to a secondary drop point before the Polar Sharc heads to the primary objective

Like they said earlier, the original SHARC's torpedo pegs were also made to hold figures. I think on the commercial or on the box or somewhere, it showed Torpedo attached to the underside hitching a ride.
