Major Bludd: I was one of those fans that was deeply disappointed that Bludd was not being given his own unique sculpt. However, now that I have the figure in hand he is one of my favorite from the wave. It's just so cool to see him in the classic uniform once again. The helmet does not come off and the right arm only moves at the wrist. His gun and backpack are stellar, though one of the missiles keeps falling out of his backpack. His right hand has the three fingered glove of the original.
Flint: I can't adequately express how big of a difference new arms makes for this figure. He plays so much better than the original. Hasbro also added a watch to his left arm. Nice detail. Baroness: I like this figure more than I thought I would. I've always thought it was cool that the Baroness appeared in the comic and toon before appearing in the toy aisle and this figure does a fair job of capturing those early versions despite being a repaint. I know many people didn't like the first 25th Ann. Baroness. I always thought the body was fine but it was the face that made her a sub par figure. This figure cures that problem with a decent face sculpt. Charles Barkley . . . er . . . I mean Roadblock V2: Meh. Still has the crappy arms and stupid face of the first version. They should have just started over and given us a totally new sculpt, which the character deserves. More to come . . . |

Thanks for the review and pics man! Looks like Baroness can sit now too! Definitely picking up Snake Eyes, Flint, PP Trooper, and maybe Roadblock. Roadblock would be a definite buy for me if he had more new parts, especially a left hand and more serious face.

Really spot on review. I agree with everything you've said here. I wasn't very excited about the Flint figure until I opened him. It's not the gloves that make him so cool, it's the rolled up sleeves that make him seem so much more badass than the wave 1 Flint.

Python Patrol Officer: A nice figure, no surprises. Looks cool in groups of 2 or more.
Snake Eyes V.232 (Parka): Just about every wave Hasbro hits it out of the stinking park and makes a darn near perfect figure. For Wave 8 it is Snake Eyes. I love this figure. The sculpt is incredibly detailed, the articulation is natural and unencumbered, and the accessories and gear are right out of issue # 2 (with the exception of the sword). His web gear consists of two backpack straps which are easily removeable. I love the satchel off of his right side which can be seen in a panel from issue 2. The designers even retooled the backpack with pegs for the snowshoes. (sorry that the first two pix are a little blurry). For a largely repaint (filler) wave, I am enjoying the figures much more than I thought I would. |

Wow, thanks for the pic of Major Bludd! I guess the one i have is the "Before Hasbro fixed him" version. I got mine from Hong Kong, and he has a different facial expression, and his helmet is removable, and not rounded....interesting...

Wait a minute...hey Cobra La, can Snake Eyes' sword fit snugly into one of his slippers on his backpack?
Also its crazy, 2 waves in a row Snake Eyes ends up being the best figure! Hey at least these 2 times around its a relevant version as opposed to a random repaint! |

Now THAT is a badass Flint!
If Hasbro IS rereleasing him (with fixed gloves), then I'm tempted to sell off the one I have now. ::hint hint:: |
